Again I have a 2006 SRX SUV and am trying to install trailer wiring and want to know where to hook into the factory wires. The other reply to this indicated in the trunk and there is not a trunk.

Left and right blinker and stop lights. You can get splicers that attach to your original wiring which is in the trunk behind the liner.

You attach them to the wires in the rear of the vehicle. It is a preety simple process.

There are many possibilities.
They range from 4 to 7 connections.
Look at the link:

The trailer light harness kit comes with these little plastic and metal splicer clamps that you put around all the wires that need to be connected to. In order to know which wire is which in the Honda, the easiest way is to open the inside of the tail lights assembly. While that is in the trunk on most cars, your car will also have some sort of panel that will give you access in the back.
You will then be able to use the access intended for bulb replacement, to allow you to see what color wire goes to each bulb. It is always best to do it as close to the bulbs as possible, because then not only are you sure to get the right wire, but by then they are already separated and out of the wrapped bundle.

The reason we are being slightly vague, is that there are basics we need to know first.
Such as what what number of connectors does the trailer harness already have?
As I mentioned when I provided the link, they commonly range from 4 to 7. Many trailers have power connections if the trailer has its own brake system, for example. You may also have backup lights, etc. If you want to know the exact colors of all the wires on your car, we can do that, but car makers are known for not always being totally consistent in wiring color, so it is best if you just open the light assemblies and look. That also makes for the neatest splicing, because then the connectors can't be seen or snagged by cargo.

Look in your glove box and see if you have the PRO code U89: wiring harness, car trailer
It's common to have the trailer harness already installed in your Silverado without you know and the dealer can pull it out for you from where it's tucked up in the frame passenger side by the spare tire for the simple cost or $65.00.

Need to wire trailer lights to 2006 Nissan Murano

Go to an auto parts store, they wire harnesses that will plug into most vehicles. If they make one for your Nissan, I don't know, but it's a real simple deal you just plug it in to existing harness in the rear of the vehicle.

2006 Ford F250 Super Duty no running light for trailer and keep blowing a fuse

have seen this a few times on fords. I'm assuming it only blows when you use the trailer. then the only cause can be a shorted wire somewhere between the trailer connector to the lights at the rear of the trailer or maybe the light assembly is bad. If the problem happens when you have no trailer hooked up then inspect the trunk harness. and wiring under the bumpers. Something 12v got pinched.

Pressing brake causing blinker issue

The trailer harness that was installed probably has a short inside the box that distributes power to the trailer pig-tail. Remove the trailer harness. You problem will be cured.
