The odometer is in the speedometer housing, and I believe you remove it from underneath the dash, by removing a screw on either side. But it has been decades so I don't remember for sure.
I do believe there is no speedo cable to remove, because I think it is all electric.

Where is the fuel pump on a 1987 porsche 928 S4?

Hello there

The fuel pump is located in the rear of the car right next to the fuel tank.

From behind the car you need to remove protective (L shape) metal cover (right rear)and then you will see the fuel pump.

Replaced battery on 98 Porsche Boxster and now odometer is wrong

I had the same problem and was about to take the car to the dealership tomorrow, but I decided to try disconnecting the battery and see if it would reset itself. When I reconnected the battery the odometer mileage went back to where it was before I changed the battery. It worked!

Maybe it will work for you. Good luck!
