You most likely have to get a drill and a screw reversing bit. the threads are in the opposite direction of the screw threads and when drilled into the screw head it will back the screw out of the hole. they are sold at walmart auto stores etc for 10-25$ dont forget to wd-40 the screw and let it sit for 20 - 30 mins to make the process a lot less painful

Where is the air filter and how to change filter on 2007 vw jetta

The air filter is on the Engine cover. You need to remove that cover by pulling up (make sure you unplug the map sensor carefully and disconnect the air ducts. one has a clump the other one has 2 thorx screws near to the radiator.) once you have removed the cover turn it up side down and there are 5 phillip head screws. Removed them to remove the filter cover and get to the filter.
thanks

  • If you have one it will be under the glove box.

  1. Look for a thin piece of plastic that goes vertically.
  2. It will have two screws that have 1/4" socket heads.
  3. Use a 1/4" socket of a 1/4" nut driver to remove them.
  4. Remove them screws.
  5. Slide the assembly out.
  6. Remove filter. Insert new filter.

Where is there air filter located 95 LS400 lexus

. The air filter is on the passenger side right behind the passenger head under the hood. To access it you must use have a socket wrench and a 10 mm socket. 1. Go to the driver side under the hood near the battery. In front of the battery there a then cover that you must lift up. Once you have lifted this cover, there is a silver screw that is holding the air cover directly over the radiator. Remove the cover and then loosen the screw to take the center air cover off from over the radiator.
2. While working your way to the right, you will notice there is another cover on the passenger side. Remove this cover and you will then see the air filter. The air filter is big round and has a latch. The only way that you can access the air filter is by removing the 3 screws that hold stable to the air induction which is connected to the throttle plate.
3. Remove these screws with the same 10 mm socket and also loosen the lowest clamp on the air induction so you can take just the air filter housing out. You may have to move back and forth to wiggle out.
4. Once you have wiggled out the air filter housing, you can unlatch the air filter and then replace.
5. Then reverse the instructions to reinstall.

I have a 2008 impala and need to change the cabin air filter. However, I don't know how to remove the clips to remove the plastic under the wipers.

1. Put windsheild wipers in up position.
2. Remove the weather stripping from the passenger side cowl.
3.Unclip the wiper fliud hose.
4.Unscrew and remove fitting on sides of cowl.
5.Remove center screw cap
6.Take out the cowl cover. You may need to use a flat head screw driver to help it along.

Hi Having trouble removing cabin air filter on a 2007 honda pilot

Remove the four screws on the air filter hood (driver side, behind battery) using 5/16" socket. No need to remove screws all the way. Lift plastic hood just enough to reach air filter. Electrical connector can remain. Slid out old air filter. Insert new one. Replace hood, and tighten the four screws.

If the filter is tight, wiggle it left-right when pulling the filter out.

Where is the cabin air filter located at and how do i get to it.

It will either be behind your glove box, or will be located under your hood by the firewall.

    Behind the Glove Compartment
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove all the items from inside of it.
  2. Remove the glove compartment assembly retainer screws with a Phillips head screwdriver. Refer to the repair manual for your specific year and model series BMW for the exact location of the screws or carefully look around the perimeter of the interior glove box assembly to locate the screws.
  3. Locate the lower trim panel retaining screws behind the glove box assembly. Remove the screws with a Phillips head screwdriver and then remove the panel.
  4. Remove the foot-well air duct.
  5. Loosen the retaining screws of the control module box to all you to lower it down.
  6. Turn the cabin air filter panel retaining knob counterclockwise to open the panel. Pull the filter removal tab outward to remove the filter.
  7. Use a shop vac to clean out any noticeable debris from the cabin air filter housing interior.
  8. Insert the new filter and reverse the order to reassemble the foot-well air duct, the trim panel and the glove compartment assembly.
  9. Under the Hood
  10. Open the hood and locate the cabin air filter housing. The housing is located near the cowling on the top section of the firewall. Some models place the housing in the middle of the cowling, on both sides--left and right--of the cowling or on the passenger side cowling. Removal of the cowling and placing the windshield wipers in the upward position may also be required on certain models. Some 7-Series BMWs place the filter housings on both the left and right side undercarriage of the hood.
  11. Release the cabin air filter duct clamp. This can either be released by unclipping the air filter duct by pressing a retaining lock with your fingers or using a flathead screwdriver to pry off a retaining rod.
  12. Lift the cover upward--or downward on hood-installed 7-Series BMWs--to reveal the cabin air filter.
  13. Remove the cabin air filter from the air duct. Vacuum the air duct with a shop vac.
  14. Insert the new cabin air filter(s) and reassemble.

1995 ford escort trying to remove rear brake drum

You have a easy problem.
Remove both rear wheels and the 2 philip head screwes either hold a good philips screwdriver hard on to the screws and hit the end of s/driver with a hammer and at the same time twisting to the left (hit about 3 or 4 times )if dosent come undone then get a centre punch and put the pointed end on to the left hand side of the screw and 1 hit will loosing it off if not 2 hits but must be to the l/h/side of screw then ondo it with the s/driver finished unless the drum is also rusted on then hit the drum from behind on the edge a few times to break the rust.

Rear brake drum removal 1992 mercury tracer

Yes. and than the drum will come off. You will find that it will not move at first so take a hammer and tap, not slam, around the edge of the drum to brake the rust. It you have difficulty removing the 2 screws don't strip the heads. Take your screw driver and put it in the slot than tip it at an angle and hit the end with a hammer to apply force sideways to the screw. This will, in most cases, brake the rust and permit the screw to turn.
