Take the door panel off and inspect the track and window base. sometimes the problem is as simple as grease needed or a screw that has backed its way out of the window holes

Back windows don't work from driver side door or perspective or in back. I hear the motor but wont open!!!

The motor is likely the problem, but check to see if you can help the window while someone presses the switch. If it works with help, the motor is definitely the problem. If not, the window may be off track.

Back glass window of 2002 chevy tahoe wont open

If you can't hear the sound of the motor when you push the button it's probably the motor went out. If you hear the motor then it's probably not on track or it wore out and you'll need to replace the assembly.

Sunroof won't open

is this electric? If so, can you hear the motors try to turn or hum? Do your car lights dim a bit when trying to open the window? If so, motor is good and roof is stuck to to debris or stick seal and will need some assistance with someone pressing firmly on the window and someone pushing the button. Also make sure seal is not stuck together. If you can not hear the motor check the fuse. If fuse is good, use an ohmmeter to test switch and if needed the power to the roof motor

Only drivers window works but slowly the other three dont but one will go down ok but wont go back up why

If you can hear the motor turning on the window, then your window motor is fine. In all likelihood, your main window switch (driver's door) is bad and requires replacement. I would also check each individual window to make certain they open and close with each window's switch.

Another potential problem could be the window hardware that moves your window up and down. The only way to determine if there are problems with the hardware is to remove the door panel.

2004 VW Beetle Convertible. Drivers door window could not go down yesterday because of ice. The window still works but it does not perform it's drop down and going up as it should when door is opened and...

can you hear the motor trying to work the window? A fairly common problem is the window regulator breaks. this is the cable operated lifting mechanism that raises the window, when it breaks you can hear the motor winding away, accompanied by a faint clunking noise as the motor tries to operate the mechanism. They are quite difficult to replace.
if you cannot hear the motor working (also assuming all your other windows do work) then either to motor is faulty or there is no power to the motor. the wiring inside the rubber boot that goes from the car to the door (by the door hinges) is prone to breaking due to the constant flexing back and fourth as the door is opened and closed. switches can also fail, you may be able to swap the drivers/passengers switches around if they are identical for testing.

My window wont go up or down i changed the fuse and it still wont work

If you can hear the motor moving, then open the interior door molding and reattach the window back on its track or reattach the link that has come off or replace the link that broke. Replace the motor if you don't hear it moving.

Power window does not work properly

It sounds like either your window motor is bad (gear failure), the window regulator is out of alignment or a combination of both. I'm leaning towards the motor because I had the exact same problem and it turned out that my window regulator was binding which caused the motor assembly to fail. They sell them together or separated. It's not the easiest tast to accomplish but not the hardest.
