In my opinion Mobil 1 10w/30. Mobil 1 is a little more expensive than other oils, but your car will last a lot longer. It is well worth it in the long run. I have a Cadillac with 365,000 miles one it. It came out of the factory with Mobil 1 and I have used it every since.

You can safely use anything between a 5w30 and 20w50 in our climate. the viscosity range isn't that critical since it is determined by the climate and heat anyway. you can find out what the manufacturer recommends for your model in the owner's manual, or at an advance auto parts store.

Hi i have a 96 Taurus GL with a Transmission that does not work i can put it through all gears and wont move unless you rev it up hi it well move slowly but it well move back words if you rev it a little....

Have you checked the level of the transmission oil ? The level does not have to be down much to encounter the type pf problem you are having. With the oil warm and the engine idling in neutral, the Transmission dipstick should show the level between the low and full marks.

My 1990 Ford Taurus won't shut off after you get

the starter solenoid is bad. very common in the older ford vehicles. had the same problem with my 85 Crown Vic and it was the solenoid. its like a 10 dollar fix. if it sticks after you replace it then theres something wrong with your alternator backfeeding the solenoid, which is usually because it is wired wrong.

1990 Ford Taurus GL windshield wipers park in the wrong position

I have a 1996 Ford Taurus with a similar malfunction the intermittent wiper function is erratic, but the wipers park properly. I'm the original owner & this malfunction was in the car from the factory. I have a regular Ford Dealership manual & came to the conclusion that the Generic Electronic Module located behind the fuse panel is bad (computer glitch in programming) ! Ford Dealers want over $ 300.00 for a brand new module, I haven't checked with my local used auto parts recycler yet, but I know it will be less than the dealer price !
