Go to ebay and buy a service manual or book with the instructions. Cost you less than $5.00 ion CD. This is a very involved procedure and if you are asking for instructions, evidently far beyond your mechanical prowess.

Where is thermal switch on the Toyota Camry 4 cylinder

That's the coolant temperature sensor? There are a few other temperature sensors on the engine too.

The coolant one is on the upper side of the engine. See here p219

What is the wire color code for the tachometer on a 1997 toyota camry? Installing a remote starter looking for the wire for the tachometer.

Depends on cylinders 4 use black or 6 use gray wire

On the 4-Cylinder engine, the BLACK wire is in a GRAY CONNECTOR located on the COIL, drivers side of the engine.

On the V-6 engine, use the GRAY wire, located at the IGNITOR, located just in FRONT of the STRUT TOWER.

Timing marks

If u cannot obtain the itming marks, u mite have to time the engine by first pricnciple. Ensure that #1 cylinder is @ TDC (compression stroke). Install the camshaft making sure that the cam lobes for #1 cylinder are on the lower side and not on the tip of the cam. Also when installing the distributor, ensure that it's set to spark @ #1 cylinder. In modern day vehicles, the distributor can only be fitted one way so theree is no need to time the ignition timing via distributor. If this is too much, u can check the crankshaft & camshaft sprocket for distinct timing markings . This should be checked when the components are clean
