You will have to take off the positive charge off the battery for a few seconds then put it back on. After that the radio will get power again. Mine used to do that a lot but after doing that for a week or so, my radio has been working just fine.

Hi, my Bose sound system in my Mazda 6 luxury sports hatch 2008 model all of a sudden has no sound. We have checked the Bose fuse and it's not blown. I have power to my radio it all lights up

Bose sound systems have an amp board mounted to each speaker the rear 6X9's should be the easiest to check. power and ground should present at all time with the car on when radio is then turned on you should see a 12v signal voltage another wire in the plug at the speaker. My guess is that 12v signal that comes from the radio is not functioning and the radio needs service.

Reconnecting/retiring Bose speaker cones. Inside speaker I have four coloured wires....Red,Black, Green & Orange....which connectors do they attach to on the speaker cone?

Since you posted this in cars and trucks I assume this is a bose car system. Most bose auto systems have the amp physically attached to the individual speakers. This means each speaker needs the following wires +12v, 12v ground, + signal and - signal. It also means that the head unit cannot directly drive a non bose speaker. If you are replacing the speakers and bose radio the best thing to do is to run new speaker wires. You can reuse the factory ones if you can identify which ones are what...and that may be a pain. If the bose amps are ok and you want to replace the speaker you would need to leave them connected and wire the new speaker to the wires on the bose speaker that come from the bose amp. Depending on the specific bose system there may be an actual wire that runs to the speaker from the amp but on others the amp is directly connected to the voice coil leads of the bose speaker.

Why did the speakers in my 2005 envoy suddenly stop working?

Check the wiring harness on the back of the radio to see if it's loose. If you have a Bose system, the amplifier may be going bad.

I have a 2005 yukon denali with the bose stereo and my rear speakers dont work

The Bose system is set up differently from other radios...each speaker has its own seperate power amp, so you have two connections to each speaker, the 12v power, and the low level signal...you can use a front speaker to plug into the rear wires and if it plays, you need a new speaker/amp...if it doesn't, you're missing power or signal for that channel...

I JUST GOT A 98 CATERA , IT DIDN'T HAVE A RADIO IN IT , SO I ORDERED ONE OFF EBAY ,PUT IT IN ,TOOK TO DEALER TO HAVE IT UNLOCKED & PROGRAMED , AND IT COMES ON ,SHOWS THE STATIONS & THE CLOCK WORKS...

If the system you bought is marked BOSE, it does not have any onboard amplifier power. The only powered radios for the Catera are units which only have AM/FM/Tape, all the CD units are Bose systems which used separate amps mounted on a tray in the trunk.

My bose car stereo system no longer has sound. When the radio was first turned on, it would take approximately 5 minutes until there was sound coming from the speakers. This got progressively worse until...

i had multiple problems with my stereo in my terrano just recently. first started with the digital trip meter going out and no audio, that was to do with the earth cable which came from te car. on mine it was a pink and silver cable, maybe it was done wrong from who ever wired it in first but it didnt like it so i went straight from the head unit to the chassis... secondly it could be the amp control cable. it may be loose or something. and thirdly a problem my friend encountered with his stereo was that the unit would turn on but no audio and after sctatching at our heads for a while we thought we'd go through from behind the head unit and remove each speaker when we took one out of the equation we got audio and it was because the speaker was shorting against the car body which would prevent any other speaker from working. hope these help. as for the dimming im not quite to sure maybe get a multi metre onto the power and see if its reading 12v.
