Good Evening, this is a common problem for a lot of general motors products and deals with the ignition system not totally recognizing the key. Turn the key to the on position and leave the key in for 11-15 minutes until the light shuts off then try starting it, it make take the first time or it may take a few more attempts however that should recode the system to your key again and make the light go out. Hope this helps.

Sorry to state the obvious but is it possible that the door jamb button stuck on the driver side door? Try some WD-40 on the button itself and get it moving freely. If it is not physically stuck, it may always be making contact. If this is the case, replace it.
