There a hatch under the drivers feet , it has to be removed to
access the master cylinder , if i remember correctly.

anti clock brakes either a sensor is faulty or you have air in the lines bad fluid {old} a master brake cylinder or its servo cycliders and or some ec {controller} connection is wrong in a bus i would expect a servo at each drum and a master cylinder does the air come up too speed when the engine starts ie does the pig cylinder charge and when charged bleed its self to regulate the brake preasure i think its a sensor thats bad on one of the brake servos at the hubs ...

How doi change a brake booster on a 1965 ford galaxie 500


its not hard ,just remove master cylinder DONT disconnect the lines just unbolt it , and pull forward enough to drop it down be careful not to damage lines ,remove bolts holding booster some may have to be removed from under dash, disconnect from brake pedal and remove ,to install do reverse of removeal. see its easy but it takes time . good luck .

My clutch pedal one day got all loose and wouldnt get tight then i pumped it 4 five min and then it would get tight it goes back and forth between tight and loose and when loose wont go in gear and when...


Sounds like the master or slave cylinder is not right. If it gets tight when pumping it up, that's a hydraulic issue with the rubber parts not sealing, or air in the system.

You can try to adjust the clutch cable if it has a cable, if its hydrualyic clutch then i would say theres a problem with the clutch plate or preasure plate, but first check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder if its low then you may have a leak, most of the time its the slave cylinder or master that leak, the master is what the clutch pedal pushes which inturn send fluid to the slave cylinder at the trany which pushes the cltuch fork,so start by seeing if its hydraulic which i think it is. then fluid check if low check for leaks.

1974 vw Beetle with no brake pedal....


adjust the push rod that enters the cylinder.Sounds like your not letting the fluid into the cylinder.Shorten the pushrod then try.If still no success extend the rod if that fails you have a faulty cylinder.Hope that was helpfull good luck.

Leeking master cylinder vw trasporter t4 2001


Hi,

The leak is only a symtom the real problem is the pedal box! it will have broken!

put your head in the footwell, press the pedal by hand while watching the master cylinder.

If you can see ANY movement of the master cylinder then the mounting has failed!
