HOW HARD IS TO REPLACE OIL PUMP WITHOUT REMOVING ENGINR

First check the oil level if you have not already. If the oil has gone a long time without changing, do that and the oil filter, as the oil may be carrying a load of fuel dissolved, thinning it out.

If the light blinks while idling, there is not much worry as long as it reliably goes out as soon as revs rise.

If not, the oil pressure sender may be faulty, or the over-pressure valve in the oil pump may be stuck, so have the oil pressure checked by a mechanic.

If normal, replace the sender. If not, the oil pump and the bottom-end bearings will need to be investigated for wear. This can be done without removing the engine in most cars.

The oil pump and screen should be in the bottom of the oil pan. Which would need to be removed to get access to it.

the oil pump is inside the oil pan, you should be able to get the pan off without removing the engine

the oil pickup tube in the oil pan may be clogging up. as the oil gets hot and thins out , there isn't enough volume coming through the oil pump to keep the enginr quiet. may want to try checking to oil pressure with a manual gauge. also might want to try an engine flush and chang the oil and filter after flushing the engine.MAKE sure if you flush the engine you follow the directions.

The first thing you need to do is get someone who knows what they are doing under the car to take a look. I think you will find that you punctured the oil pan and not the oil pump. Whether you can replace the pan without removing the engine is going to be determined by whether the suspension components and frame are blocking access to removing it. A guy from a garage is not coming to your house with his lift, so find someone who works at a oil change place, or other somewhat mechanical person, and pay him 50 bucks to come by your house, or where ever it is parked, jack it up and tell you whether or not the pan can be replaced without pulling the engine or at least lifting the engine off its mounts. That way you will know when you call a garage what service you will be needing and they will be better able to give you an estimate.
You can quickly exceed the value of the car with this type of repair, so before you start spending money towing it around town get an idea of what can be done without removing or lifting the engine.

Yes it can. It can be replaced from the underside by removing the oil pan

It's a hexagon key much like the ones in fords and installed from under the engine on top of the oil pump.I apologise for not having the answer having always removed them with the oil pump.You would have to remove the distribution and some how pull it out the top.Being just a straight key without a collar I suppose it could be done,but the lock collar is made of plastic.If you break it putting the shaft back in you'll definitely have to pull the pan to replace it.Let me know if it works,just maybe your on to something?Good Luck!

Oil Pump is in the oil pan.. You would have to take the pan out. To get the pan out you either have to raise the motor up or remove crossmembers.

alternator on 3.3 should be removed from left lower side of engine.remove left front tire and enginr splash shield and disconect oil dipstick tube . now you should be able to take it out.

if it's a front wheel drive nothing that is any easier,you would halft to take the undercarege apart.a frame stabilizer bar and everything else that is under there that would be in the way.I have changed lots of trannies and it is easier to pull the engine
