SOURCE: 1999 chevy malibu

That engine does not have a timing belt, it has a timing chain and therefore much easier to work with as it can only go on a certain way, the primary focus being getting the dots on the timing chain sprockets lined up properly.

I believe, with the engine at Top Dead Center on cylinder #1, the dots will be facing each other. That is to say, the do on the cam sprocket will be facing the dot on the crank sprocket.

I need a diagram for the routing of serpentine belt on a 1999 chevy malibu.

If you open the hood and look on the frame (usually just near the hood latch) there should be a diagram there for you. It might also be on the underside of the hood itself.

Need a diagram bad....!!!

The front suspension is a combination strut and spring design. The control arms (11) pivot from the crossmember (12). On base models conventional rubber bushings are used for the lower control arm pivots. On up-level suspensions the front bushing is replaced by a cross axis bearing.
