Question about 2001 Nissan Maxima
You can try unplugging the battery for few days. not guaranteed that it will do, but you can try it. if not, than you can get just a simple code reader from sears for about 75bucks and do it like that and after that you have a code reader for the future. if you dont want to do that, then you need to go to nissan dealer, pay 45 bucks (half hour of labor??) depending on a dealer and have the light/ecm memory erased and not have a code reader for future issues. I would buy code reader and erase my self and keep code reader.

bank 1 refers to the side of the engine that #1 cylinder is on , and sensor 2 refers to downstream , after the catalytic converter. , this link shows bank 1 on a 2001 nissan maxima V6 being on the firewall side . if you had a 4 cylinder it would be downstream after the catalytic converter .

Primary ignition fault. Reasons: Bad distributor cap (most likely) or ignition control module/ignition coil.
Hope that helps

Iac valves short out and fry the computer. Be sure to check and replace the Idle air control valve if needed. If not replaced the computer will fry. Generally it costs less to program a used one than get a new one.

I have a similar problem with iloveu2day1. I still have the 6 pin pigtail connector but the end plastic terminal gave in due to engine heat, leading the wire to fall apart.
I can still bring the wires together but unfortunately not sure about the color/number sequence. does it matter if i connect it to my IACV?
Can anyone help me here? Its my first time to use this service FIXYA. Can you also email me at email@example.com. Thanks
