Question about Mercedes-Benz 190-Class

1 Answer

Hi,i have a problem with my Mercedes V/klasse(200 000 km),it's quite lazy, cannot pass over 80 km/hour.I have changed the diesel pump, the injectors, turbo, finally i changed the engine, and still ,i have the same problem again. Can the reason be the automatic gearbox?Others told me its possible that the diesel pumpe its adjusted to a maximum speed(for ex. 80 km/hour) .I checked the diesel pumpe and it has to scrues, one of them its the relanti, and the other ,if turned to the left, the car stops completely. Can you please give me an advice what can this problem come from ? Thank you in advance

More than likely the fuel injection pump needs an overhaul, in fact at 200,000 clicks i am sure of it. You can buy these rebuilt on the Internet with support on installation and adjustment procedures

My car is drifting on the road aspecially when im over 80 km per hour what is the probleme

A few things could do this

- underinflated tyres (causes soft sidewalls)
- badly adjusted wheel alignment (insufficient toe-in)
- worn tie rod ends
- loose steering rack end ball joints
- loose lug nuts
- loose front wheel bearings

After checking the first, this is safety critical, so take it to a front suspension mech. Mercedes are not complicated underneath, so you don't need a dealer unless you have a warranty.

Does a kia rio 56 diesel 1500 have a timing belt or chain, and when would it need replacing?

I have a 1.5 CRDi which uses the Mercedes engine and has a cam chain not a belt
Check the owners manual the chain doesnt need replacing on any of the service intervals it only requires checking and retentioning

It stalls after 15 min driving 110 km per hour if i go 80 or 90 its good fuel filter pump are new thx

sounds like the fuel pump is not putting enough fuel through to keep up with the demand of 110 km ph
but is putting out enough for the 80-90- km ph
advise the install of a larger low (litres per minute) fuel pump

Coming up on 200,000 Km. What service should I

That is about 120, 000 miles, if you have not done already, you should change the timimg belt and while you are doing that it is a good idea to replace the water pump. You could change your transmission oil but not critical.
