Question about 2003 Chrysler Sebring

1 Answer

I have a 2003 Seibring Convertible Limited (V6) (VIN 1C3EL65R93N558156) and a problems that not even chrysler has been able to diagnos! After the car warms up a bit, at all engine speeds feels like someone reaches over and turns the ignition off, after about 1/2 second the engine turns back on. ALso at idle the problem persists save for the engine turning back on, the car will shut off. The diagnostic computers at chrysler do not pick up anything wrong and nothing wrong with the fuel system (initially thought to be a fuel pump). ALso had the throttle positioning sensor changed and that was not the problem, the car still has the same problem. Need help, any ideas??? Thanks AJ

Before you spend any more money remove and clean any ground connections yu can find, there are quite a few, my guess is that you have one that is just barely making contact and losing touch just enough that the engine vibration allows it to contact again

It is not a do it yourself fix.

This is an automatic transmission issue which may involve replacing the valve body and solenoid pack and affects transmissions fitted to various Chrylser models. It could also be a symptom of more serious transmission problems and requires proper investigation and diagnosis.

On some models there was a Technical Service Bulletin issued to dealers on this problem .

My 2008 Chrysler Sebring Limited convertible has a problem with the trunk latch. It won't stay closed. It keeps unlatching. Do you know what the problem is? How do I get it to stop unlatching?

I did this to my car once. Be sure the latch isn't closed as you are trying to close the trunk. With the trunk open pop the trunk once, then see if the trunk latches properly.

On my seibring convertible where the milage reading is is says deck rather than the milage why

I have this same vehicle and model. "Deck" refers to the trunk being ajar. The sensors seem to be fairly finicky and sensitive. I have no answer, however, as to why "deck" appears even when the trunk seems to be closed.
