They are pretty tough if they have never been removed, you have to twist and pull at the same time.

Spark plug cable is broken. The wire in the cable is still attached to the spark plug. I've tried pulling it but it is very tightly attached to the spark plug. I cannot find the appropriate socket...

Get a suitable pair of plyers, grip the plug wire where it is thick, on the jacket that is on the plug, and pull hard. Maybe twist a little, but not sideways, as you risk breaking the plug. It should come off.
What may happen is that you will get all the rubber, and the metal locking tap will stay on the plug. Then use a pair of needlenose plyers to remove it.

The plug size is usually a 13/16 or a 5/8.

Don't really worry if you break the ceramic part of the plug, you can just remove what is left with the socket, and put in a new plug.

How do I replace the spark plugs on a 2001 Dodge Dakota? There is some type of metal cylinder around the spark plug, preventing me to get my socket to grab on to the spark plug.

is it a shroud that covers all of them i know some models it takes a special plug socket to remove them its very thin in diameter so a special socket is used or if possible like i said if its a shroud remove this to gain access

Jerking bad when driving replaced coil lead plugs ok coil lead sparking outside coil

Is it sparking between boots or is it from the boot to the engine? You need to use dielectric grease on the boot on the coil to stop leakage of voltage between coil towers, I can't find the 2006 laser so chose a model similar to that model. With the engine off and you pull the spark plug wires put a little bit of the special grease on your finger and put it on the inside of the boot of the spark plug wire at the coil and at the spark plug. Be sure to not get any on the spark plug metal tip or on the metal on the coil pack. When removing the spark plug wire from the coil and plug be sure to twist it with the engine being cold so that you don’t ruin the spark plug wires. This should stop the leakage, if not then you have a defective coil/ coil pack and need to see if there is a carbon track or a crack in the coil assembly itself, let me know if this helps and get back to me if you need more assistance.

How do i get to the spark plugs in a c200 1998 5door saloon?

Wrong model designation ali. It's either a c230 or a c280. The 4 cyl 230 spark plugs are located under the red cover on top of the engine. The plugs are down the center of the valve cover under this cover. The coils are on top of the plugs. Remove the cover, coils, and then the plugs. If it's a 280 v6 you have 2 plugs in each cyl. The arangement there is more conventional. The coils are bolter to the valve covers and have short wires to the plugs that are on the side of the motor just below the valve covers. Be careful removing the metal plug connectors. They will pull apart if you try and pull them loose by grabbing the wire. You need plug removal type pliers. Twist the metal end and pull like a mad man, repeat 11 more times! Good luck!

How do I remove the spark plug wires?

The metal tube stays in the heads. They make a special pair of pliers to remove the spark plug boots from the spark plug. You should replace the wires at the same time as the plugs on those models anyway though.
