Question about 1990 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

1 Answer

I'm getting fuel to the throttle body injectors but the truck will not start. All of the throttle sensor seem to be working and have power. The injectors have power but are not spraying fuel into the engine. What could the problem be?

It sounds like you have some plugged injector. Are you sure you have the correct fuel pressure? The fuel pressure has to be 9-13 psi.Does it start when you spray brake cleaner or carb.cleaner into the throttle body?If it does then you can try obtaining a used throttle body from a salvage yard or if you want to spend the money buy new ones.Hope this helps.Let me know what you find or if you have anymore questions.Good luck.

92 Camero SOMETIMES wont start, backfires or starts rough - but will run fine after it DOES start

I would want to know if it is ignition or fuel for sure. There are a few things you can try to narrow down the possible cause.
What does the cap and rotor look like, and is the spark a strong blue when it is running rough ?
Have you checked the actual fuel pressure with a gauge ? Does it matter if you spray carb cleaner or starting fluid into the throttle body ?
Any trouble codes stored in the computer ?
Its possible the coolant temp sensor is wrong and the computer thinks the air temp is 90 degrees instead of say 20 degrees. Or there is moisture in the dist cap or on the plug wires, and so on.

I have a 1994 gmc 1500 truck with a 5.7 v8.one fuel injector is pumping fuel and the other injector is not!!!!i swapped the injectors and its not the injector.

Go to the parts store and get a noid light for your truck, plug it into the injector electrical and turn the engine over to see if there is electrical pulse, also check the fuel pressure, the pump needs 9-13 psi with the engine running. you know if there is no pulse your going to need to check the wireing first. let me know

Engine is not getting fuel. fuel pump is

sounds like an injector problem, will have to test with a noid light, if its getting power then injector is bad.

88 Suburban too much fuel to start

which wires, to the injectors ? You don't wanna disconnect the Idle air control or the TPS...while cranking, the TPS if improperly installed can be an issue, but the IAC if stuck closed, wont let the car idle, neither will the EGR if it is hung open. also diconnect the map sensor, if it improves, replace it
