SOURCE: timing belt this site will have all the info you need. Go here and buy a 1 year subcription for you car. If this is your first timing belt replacement then read through everything carefully before attempting to do this yourself. If you don't think you can handle it get it to a shop. If the cam/crank timing is not set up right you could bend valves and need expensive repairs!! Be careful. Happy New Year!!

SOURCE: HID low beam headlight replacement for 2003 lexus es300

The HID bulbs are very easy to change, and can be bought online for much less than from the dealer. Check sites like xenondepot and Ebay for Phillips D2R (for reflector headlamps) HID bulbs and you can replace them yourself.

SOURCE: ? to Replace Timing belt on 2000 Lexus Rx300 with 57,000 miles.

If it is running perfectly I wouldn't think that you would need to replace the timing belt. You shouldn't need to replace that until 100,000-120,000 miles. I would definitely hold off until now unless you have start having some timing problems. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

2000 Lexus RX300 had timing belt replaced at 91,000 miles, now has 155,000 miles - do I need to replace it again?

91 X 2 = 182,000 so why would you even listen
to that pitch

For $1100 I would drive it until it quit or fix it
myself or have a relative work on it

How so I check timming marks on 1994 lexus es 300

Guessing you need the marks for the timing belt. Below are some pictures that should help. Just a hint, if you are replacing the timing belt, when puching the "plunger" down for the belt tensioner if you use a 10 mmilimeter hex wrentch it works PERFECT to keep the punger down. Hope this was what you needed and I hope it helps....

When should the timing belt be replaced? Should the water pump be replaced at the same time?

60,000 miles is recommended by Toyota/Lexus. Replacing the water pump is recommended because its driven by the timing belt. If not replaced and it fails in the future, you would have to re-do everything again!!

1992 lexus ls 400 timing belt

I have the same problem with my 94 LS, its getting fixed now. The camshaft sensor is telling the computer that the timing is off, meaning your timing belt is either jumping or missing teeth, or it may be going bad. It is a very big job, so I suggest replacing the belt, water pump, tensioner, and maybe the seals and pulleys as well. Are you at a lost of power, has you car ever cut off at a stop red light or when driving?

90000 is a suffficiently long time for a timing belt. I'd listen to the dealership.

How to get a crankshaft pulley off to change timing belt

if you have the bolt out already you can use two short pry bars one each side of pulley and pry
evenly. it should slide off. If not you can use a big 2 jar puller. If you don't have the bolt out you can use a air impact or use a change wrench to hold pulley while you loosen the bolt with a long 1/2 inch ratchet. It is a 19 mm head bolt.
