My low beams stopped working simultaneously on my 2004 Honda Pilot. Has there been a recall on this issue? My high beams work fine.

check both bulbs and fuses. may be the switch. should not be fuses as they will be on different circuits. should not be the earth either. If you can bot diagnose problem let an auto electrician take a look at it

If the bulbs are chroming or getting black check the earth side of your wiring. Don't touch the bulbs with your bare hands use a clean cloth. Don't use bulbs over 100w in power.

If both my regular headlight bulb and high beam head light bulb on a 2009 VW Jetta are both burned out and I only replace the regular bulb and not the high beam, should the regular highlight bulb stil

no --there are two separate light power systems for the bulbs but a shared earth wire. Bulbs blow from power fluctuations that occur from loose earth wires, dirty earth points so check the way the bulbs are put back in and ensure that they are tight.

Driver side headlights not working right

Check the earth connection, sounds like it has lost the earth on the off side and both elements of the bulb are coming on together and halving the power ( causing bad elluimination)

1998 Lincoln Town Car passenger side headlight low beam only.

Hi Steven, I guess you have checked the fuses? Some time (and I'n not saying this is your problem) the fuses are wired in such a way that if one blows (and the fuse is on the earth side of the circuit) there will be an output, but the circuit will either use the earth through the the other bulb or fail to earth. I would also suggest having a look at the relays and their operation. Lastly, check the earth connections again. Regards John

2001 Ford Focus. Drivers side headlight low beam keeps going out. Replaced bulb many times. High beam works but no low beam. Please help, this is very frustrating. All other lights are fine. Thank...

I might be wrong but the first thing I would be checking is when its working with a new bulb does it go brighter when you rev your engine? If it does (it might not always do that) I would check for a bad earth on the headlight or where it is grounded to the body. That is the most simple thing to check for but it could be a fault in other places too, (alternator, switches etc.)and unless you are a good electrician I would sugest you take it to an auto spark and let him/her look into it for you. Sorry I cant be any more help than that.

How to change passenger side low beam headlight.

check out the type of bulb you need at your local auto parts store. if it plugs into a socket in the rear of the light, be careful NOT to touch the glass part of the bulb when replacing it. it will put the oil from your skin on the bulb and when it reaches operating temps it will blow again Just figure out what type bulb it takes and repost if you need assistance.
