Question about 2000 Chevrolet Astro
You'll have to remove the fuel tank that is underneath the truck. There is usually some shielding and a couple of straps that hold the tank in, also various fuel lines that need to be detached. You then unscrew the retainer ring from the sender unit and pull it out, the pump is attached. This is a pain to do on the ground, you may be better off just to have a shop do it...even if you buy your own pump. A shop should charge about $150 to install it.
