    Ok,

The first code - P1529 is only a storage or freeze frame code and is telling you to check the MIL function.
The code P0741 is saying that there is a malfunction in the clutch converter in the transmission.
The code P0101 is say there is a problem in the MAF or mass air flow circuit.

If you are able to check the last 2 codes then let me know and I can send more information to you.

code p 1529 refers to transmission control module (TCM) ---communication===causes wiring-- TCM-- ECM
Take to to an accredited service center or specialist shop that handles your make of vehicle and have a proper diagnosis done and a quote The noise could be from the TCC solenoid not properly engaging or keeping the clutch fully engaged thereby causing the noise from the box

03 Kia Spectra P1529 / P0717 / P0111 codes pulled up with code reader, what do I need to fix on this thing now?

Google your codes

Type: OBD & your codes

OBD P1529

May need your vehicle, if you don't
get all the info

That question can not be answered

Codes only indicate an out of range condition
or parameter

You use codes to diagnose & component test
to find a problem

P0741 torque converter BUT check engine light doesn't show anymore

First the transmission is about $3,600 twice what you were told

You take it to a trans shop they should use the proper test equipment & road test, to check out the codes & maybe just
a converter clutch solenoid is needed

If the trans fluid has never been changed every 3 years since
2003, then the trans may be done & have to be replaced

If the fluid is dark, smells or is burn't,don't change it, as that is not
a fix for anything & it will slip & be unusable.

If a trans shop doesn't take you on the road test or into the shop
to explain things or pitches a rebuilt trans, then try another shop
& go thru the routine a second time

In the end the trans may have to come out, but not from the codes
I see, until properly diagnosed (I used to own a trans shop hope
that helps)

Just keep in mind a fluid change (never a flush) won't remove
debris from the valve body or any solenoids

Changing a failed or clogged solenoid & changing somewhat
clean fluid maybe all you need --cross your fingers-- not many trans
live long - good luck

P1529 p0732

You can Google the codes & the reason they set

I think based on both codes, you have an internal issue,
as the 723 is the output speed sensor & the other 1529
is the report from the tran tcm back to the pcm/ecu

I'm afraid your going to pull the trans to find internal issues

May just be a tcm issue, but the output sensor is seeing the wrong info from a drum inside, most likely from worn parts

I will tell you with a trans ten years old, if you never changed
the fluid every 3 years since it was new, don't waste time even
diagnosing it,just pull the unit & rebuild it

2004 Kia Optima has 3 check engine lights on for the following codes - 0741, 0455, 1529. Is this safe to ignore, or how soon to have serviced? Car runs fine, except when stopping for lights, then it kind...

HI there i will try to help .
first code P0741= transmission torque converter is stuck in the off bastion .
1. Check your transmission fluid level to see if low or might need replacing.
2.You might have a Faulty torque converter clutch solenoid valve.
3.If you can check Torque converter clutch solenoid valve harness or connectors
4.If you can check Torque converter solenoid valve circuit to see it is open or shorted.
But first check your trans fluid '''

2 codeP0455=evaporative emission system leak detected .
1. check your fuel cap and mack shore it is on tight before replacing .

3.Code P1529= check T C M it might be do to code P0741.
1.Fix first code P0741and P0455 and clear codes and see if code P1529
comes back.

good luck ziggyone

Vehicle wont change up into gear reverse gear not

P0734 - 4th gear incorrect ratio. P1529 Malfunction Indicator Lamp Request. Problem is in the transmission.
Take/Tow your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.
