Hi! I never worked on one and theres quite a few with the same problem. If I were to asked bout the repair Im gonna do, well it's gotta be replacing the PCM. The PCM (powertrain control module) has connectivity on all electrical current that runs inside the including the engine and transmission. It is like the car's brain that when it's faulty everything else fails. It will cost you atleast $185 on the PCM. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

P1763 and p0303 codes for my 02 jeep grand cherokee. car is super sluggish and shakes when gets to 50mph.

no engine stated.??????????
303 is gross misfire on #3 cylinder. on all cars.
its a for sure thing, means bad combustion on #3 and its power is weak. 1763 is tranny The 7 means that. and is problem2.

ever get a 60k miles tunup this decade?
sparks plugs, spark wires, filters, air and fuel>?
spark plugs dont last life of any engine.
THE CEL blinking (oper guide tells) means that misfire
is burning the CAT converter to a crisp. (raw fuel + air does that)
the opr. guide says get it serviced, fast, dont drive fast or tow anything. all great advice in the glove box.

get a cheap tuneup, and magic can happen in most cases.
misfire has many causes. over 20.
but a tuneup not done, is 99% cause. (due to nobody doing them)
only fate , determines truth, not statistics....
for example you sucked a valve on #3..

if the new spark parts dont fix #3 a compression tests is next.
or an injector balance test say from #3 to one other injector.
all this is like 1hr work, but no engine stated, so.....

2004 Jeep grand cherokee ODB code p1762, p1763

both those codes are for your transmission governor pressure sensor .and your pressure sensor .to fit them drop the pan in your gearbox .remove your filter chance to change that will it is off. now you can see both your parts.pull off the plug from your governor pressure sensor and pull off the pressure sensor and replace it.i do not know your level of skill to understand may need a garage to do this.

2002 jeep cherokee transmission slips when air condition is on

you need to change the throttle position sensor. This is not a transmission slip so to speak but a flux in the throttle body. the part is easy to fix and on a V8 lies
right behind the resinator behind the throttle body. I had the same issue with my 02 GCL. Part costs 40 bucks

2001 jeep grand Cherokee....code po443. What should I look for? Can I still drive it with this code until i fix it?

P0443 is for EVAP Purge Solenoid Circuit.
You can still drive it, but it'll cause emission related problems and you won't be able to pass emissions.
To replace it, it's under the hood, drivers side, near the rear corner and is shaped like a little cylinder. Fairly easy to go to a local parts store and replace yourself.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition

Probably have bad hood struts/shocks that hold it up. These can be obtained at the usual discount parts stores(Kragen,Autozone, Checker, etc) Usually just pop off on one end of a ball mount and unbolt the other after you have propped up hood. These shocks go bad from time or fluid leaks.

I have a ODB II code reader giving p1763, p1762, p0303

Your right about the two codes. It's really a transmission part.
As soon as you open up the transmission pan, it right there.
f0d99d5.jpg But, I would leave this up to a transmission place. It may need a special type of calibration tool for the new sensor.

As for PO303, that is a missfire in cylinder #3

I hope I answered your question.

Grand Cherokee laredo P1763 and P1762

It's a transmission related problem, that you should have looked at a.s.a.p. to avoid costly transmission repairs down the road. Have it scanned at a reputable transmission repair place, dealer, or mechanic you trust. The drain pan will have to come off to perform repair, so have a transmission service (filter & fluid) done while your at it, unless it was done recently.
