Question about 2001 Dodge Durango
The check engine light will tell you what the problem is. You can take it to Autozone and they will put it on the diagnostic computer for free, and just takes a minute. The bubbling noise is exactly what you were checking. The motor has gotten hot. This could be caused by a few things that the diagnostic computer will not tell you. It could have a bad water pump, the fan may not be working properly, a bad radiator cap or just low on coolant.
