Well that is not good. Have the exhaust system checked for leaks.

2006 toyota avalon blowing white smoke in the morning then clears out

you may have 1 of 2 things it may be a seeping head gasket allowing coolant to seep into cylinder overnight or it may be valve seals leaking allowing oil to seep by valve seals onto valve smell the smoke as coolant will have a sweet smell and if its oil thats what it will smell like

My 1996 toyota avalon is overheating. There are no leaks, thermostat is new, radiator is new and has been flushed, changed the fan relay. Don't know why its overheating.

Is the fan coming on? If not, possible lower radiator fan switch/sensor? No leaks... So overflow tanks level stays stable? How do you know it is overheating? Elevated temp guage? Engine smells overheated? Both? We need more info.

Your 1997 Avalon will not work the same as when it was new. Midway is normal for a 1997 car without signs of leak. If you haven't change the coolant since you acquired the car, then flushing the old with new is the best suggestion.

Radio and tape deck on 1997 Toyota Avalon randomly coming on and now has a burning smell in the tape deck. What is the issue?

unfrotunately, due to the age, the burning smell is possible coming from a short inside the player.....I would suggest that you pull the fuse, so that it does not functioin anymore, and replace ASAP, as I have seen a simple short turn into a bigger problem

Avalon knocking

Hi, airjeff8

In a nutshell, you need to get the valve cover off and see whats going on under there. It could be a broken camshaft or a valve/spring issue amongst other things.

Whip the cover off and have a look.

Geordie
