Here is the basic maintenance list for your Jeep:

~ Inspect lights and check tire pressure at least monthly or before & after each trail ride

~ Oil & filter change, chassis lubrication, differential and transfer-case fluids every 3,000 to 5,000 miles or 3 to 4 months - if you have recently crossed through water deep enough to submerge the centre of your hubs, replace the differential fluids as a precaution

~ Underhood belt and hose inspection every 3,000 to 5,000 miles or 3 to 4 months (every oil change)

~ Tire rotation and wheel balancing every 6,000 miles or every other oil change - driving offroad can knock wheel weights off a wheel, so you may need to have this done more frequently

~ Brake inspection every 6,000 miles or every other oil change - if you have rum brakes in the rear, ensure they are cleaned after each trail ride where you encountered deep mud/snow

~ Replace air filter every 12,000 to 24,000 miles or as indicated by inspection - dusty trails can shorten these intervals dramatically

~ Replace fuel filter every 24,000 to 100,000 miles

~ Automatic transmission service every 24,000 to 100,000 miles

~ Wheel alignment check every 12,000 to 24,000 miles or as indicated by tire wear - offroad driving can knock wheels out of alignment, so budget for an alignment every 3 months, then watch tread wear to see if it's needed

~ Cooling system flush and refill every 40,000 to 100,000 miles

~ Belt and hose replacement every 60,000 to 100,000 miles or 5 to 8 years

~ Engine timing belt replacement every 60,000 to 100,000 miles (when equipped) or 5 to 8 years

~ Air conditioning performance check annually, usually in the spring - be sure to run your A/C during the winter for brief period to ensure all hoses and valves stay lubricated and operable

2005 jeep wrangler replaced factory shocks 100,000

for this to happen there is misalignment of the shocky mount hole and the pin that it is mounted to. Check that there is a large washer over the rubber bush before the nut as if this is missing there is nothing to position the shocky mount.

Try replacing Co2 sensor, most people don't realized that unit need replacing every 50-75k miles also. if that does not work, take it to the dealer and have them plug it into the computer, that will allow for them to narrow it down. with service engine light on, it will effect some of your gas mileage and the performances. The dealer charge somewhere around 50 bucks to diagnose using their computer, however 50 bucks will appilied toward the repair bill if they do the work.

What is most important maintenanace service at 30,000 miles for 2006 Jeep GC HEMI V8? is it spark plugs? Any suggestions?

the most important (in my opinion) is changing the transmission fluid( transmissions for those cost about $4,000.00 to replace) its supposed to be changed every 30,000 miles. ( spark plugs can last up to 100,000 miles before needing replaced.)

At what mileage does the timing chain need to be replaced? jeep wrangler 2008,3.8 L 6 cil.80,000 miles

You change the timing chain now when your Jeep has indicated from a check engine light on. The timing chain in engines these days last as long as the engine will, there is a timing chain tensioner to ensure there is no slack.
When the timing chain has gotten stretched to much, your Jeeps PCM will indicate that with a check engine light on your dash and will be indicated with a DTC codes from a scanner.
So no worries about replacing your timing chain and keep up the regular maintenance, if you have a Mechanic tell you other wise, there just looking for money and your looking for more then just a timing chain being replaced.
You can bet that chain, chain tensioner, timing gears, water pump and might even throw in a cam replacement will be in his recommendation.
Thank you for using fixya and be safe.
