Question about 2003 Toyota Celica

1 Answer

Is it possible to fix the front bumper, hood, and hood frame (or engine compartment) on a 2003 toyota celica? Or is it totalled. (The front driver's side of the car was slammed into a wall. Everything else of the car is fine with the exception of tires, but that can be changed.)

You can replace the whole front end if you have to,you will need to make sure the main part of the chassis is square and plumb before you start,if its bent/out of true you will need a jig to straighten up the main "box" (now you starting to get really expensive)basically if the roof/doors are as "new"then replace as much as you need to.the wings, bonnet front end are all bolt on,its only the inner wing/front fingers that need welding.and all the hang ons..
if you have full bodyshop facilities, your 1/2 way there...
NOT something to do in your garage...

Change head lite bulbs 2000 toyota GTA

The easiest way to change them is to remove the 3 bolts that hold the headlight in place, 1 is directly on top of the headlight, 1 can be seen thru the upper radiator support(of course be sure to remove the plastic engine compartment covers if they are installed), and the 3rd is hidden underneath the front bumper cover, to remove the front bumper cover, move aside the inner wheel well panel nearest the sidemarker lights, pull the bumper cover off slighty fron a plastic snap lock that lines up the bumper with the fender, you should see the bolt as soon as you pull the bumper cover. Each bolt is a 10mm patern so I recommend a small ratchet with extension, once you remove the bolts, the headlights come right off. You might have a rubber cover over where the headlight bulbs are located, simlpy unscrew it, or pull it off whatever your vehicle has, I believe the bulb type is H7, its a standard low-beam bulb, keep in mind the passengerside headlamp is attached to the windshield washer refill reservoir which snaps in and out of place. Install is reverse procedure, I hope this helps, and if you need, go to Newcelica.org for ANYTHING Celica related.

I cant open the hood of the 2003 toyota corolla..what shall I do . Can someone help me?

Try this. have some one pull the release while you bang on the front edge of the hood, be careful as the metal on the hood is thin and will dent easly. Try to use the heel of your hand right on the edge of the hood in the middle front edge against the bumper. The hood should pop up. When it is open sprayWD40 all over the lock and latch. Let me know if this works.

Your diagnosis is correct. The check valve in the fuel pump is letting the gas drain out of the line from the injector rail, and cranking for a long time then starting is indicative of this. Replace the fuel pump.
