Sounds like the AIC (Air Idle Control) motor might be bad or stuck in the closed position not allowing enough air to enter the engine at idle. Also when you changed the TPS you need to make sure that it is set for 0 deflection, if not the same will occur because the computer won't know that the throttle is at idle and will close the the AIC thinking you have you throttle depressesed.

Have you removed and checked the IAC? (Idle air control)
Will it stay running when you manually hold the throttle? keeping the idle up?

2003 3,4 GM crank no start give gas car starts and stay running take foot off gas stall right out is . No check eng. light is on scanned and Po102 changed MAF no change could it be iac or TPS or evap purge...

Look at the Idle Air Control first. Also, make sure the air filter is clean; if it's really loaded, you won't get enough air to run with a closed throttle. Check the throttle body idle air intake passage(s) to make sure they are clear.

Code 12 means you are in test mode, code 34 is a problem with the map sensor, and code 35 is a problem with the idle control valve.
But those two codes could show up if you disconnect those sensors or if the engine is having other problems.
In situations where the engine stalls, it is very easy to overlook something or assume a component is working.
Treat it like a no start. Pull a plug wire and watch the spark as the engine dies. Use carb cleaner or starting fluid to boost fuel supply.
You'll have to figure out if it is loosing spark or fuel to proceed.
Things like the coil, the stator in the bottom of the dist, or a relay can be the cause. Even low fuel pressure.

I got a 97 ford thunderbird lx when i try and srart it it turns over but wont start?

sounds lie a bad fuel pump. replace your fuel filter first, if that doesnt work then you may need to drop the fuel tank to get the pump out.

Turns over but wont stay running

The most common cause of your problem is a faulty TPS (throttle position sensor) which regulates the idle speed under all conditions (cold, warm, ac on). When the TPS fails, it's usually under 1 of the conditions (cold or warm) and not the others. Below is a picture of the TPS in your car. Best of luck with your problem.

Ok I have a 99 catera it will start runs ruff until it warms up, then runs idle ,no problem, but when you push the gas it runs like ----!! changed one o2sensor already no change. used OBD II on it as well...

Did you have the battery disconnected from the car?
I had a similar problem. The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) loses the home position.

The manual says to place the ignition in run; ignition on for 3 minutes (connect a battery charger while you do this) without engine running. It should home the TPS.
Worked for me.
