Pads and rotors will not make any of these light to come on.The sensor will but did you get the codes to see what the code was? This is what will tell you what what wheel speed sensor or wiring could be causing the problem.Let me know what code you have and I can help you out.Good luck.

run a fault code reader to reset the abs and trac lights as the trac light uses the same sensor as the abs.. IF the pedal is still soft then there is still air in the brake system. You may have to crack the lines at the master cylinder first and bleed there first then start at the longest line and work back to the shortest

2003 sport trac actuates abs at 2 mph on easy stops abs light is not on

Wayne, I would start with the brake wheel sensors, most likely the front end- I would start there first.
Has this vehicle had brake pads replaced, or had recent brake work? If so, what was done, and by who? (home job, or brake shop?)

I don't understand the whole traction light thing. my car always says trac off-except when it says low trac and slides like it's on ice.

TAKE CAR TO A GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP HAVE THE ABS BRAKES AND TRACTION CONTROL CODE SCAN.YOUR ABS BRAKE SYSTEM WILL COME ON ADJUSTING BRAKE PRESSURE TO AVOID A SKID.THAT WHY LOW TRAC LIGHT COMES ON. MOST OF THE TIME WHEN YOU SEE LOW TRAC LIGHT DRIVING ON DRY ROADS PROBLEM IS IN THE ABS BRAKE UNIT OR BAD WHEEL SPEED SENSOR.

ABS light and Trac Cont light stay on....

Check your rear brakes and inside the rear Rotors. There are ABS scanners and if Autozone or Oreillys have that type of scanner, they will scan for free.

Because the Trac Control is on the Rear axle all of your problems are probably rearward. What usually happens is the Emergency brake material and the Rotor pads wear down and blind the sensors. Sometimes the Trac Control will destroy the brake linings. The Trac Control works by applying the rear brake to the fastest spinning wheel in an effort to match each rear wheels speed.

When the sensors have debris flying in front of them, they miscount and include the debris in figuring RPM. Someone needs to disassemble and inspect the back brakes.

Either someone damaged a sensor for the ABS/TRAC control, or the replacement parts are not compatible with the ABS system.

ABS light goes on and off

Sounds like you have loose brake pad linings.
The traction control measures rotational speed between each rear wheel. If your pad lining momentarily causes one wheel to hesitate your trac control will flash. As the ABS detects braking without the brake pedal being pushed, it will flash.
Check your emergency brake pads. They can fall apart inside the drum/rotor combo on the rear. That is where your sensor is for the ABS.

mr simpleton your problem came after or was there before the brakes were done.in either case it has nothing to do with pads and rotors , have it scanned and i am sure one of your sensors on the wheels have set a code. or simply check your brake fluid level
