My 99 sunfire started making a noise was told ac clutch is bad can I still drive my car or is there a way to just disconnect the clutch I dont use ac at all

You can just disconnect the connector at the compressor and tie it out of the way. If your bearing on the clutch is going bad, then it will eventually seize up causing the belt to make big noise and break.

2000 Silverado does not engage in 4WD, where do I start first?

If it was working recently and all of a sudden it's not and you didn't notice any noise coming from it, transfer case, it could be just a broken wire, or the linage fell off, or a blown fuse. Check at the front differential. Note how the wiring is connected to the activator for locking up the axel. Sometimes the wiring breaks near the plug. Check fuses, check to make sure the linkage is attached. If everything looks good, break out the wallet for a big repair bill. Sorry.

Cold start only. loud whirring noise for about 7 seconds then wind down of noise to quiet. someone thought of motor for rear suspension air shocks problem. ?

It probably IS the air shocks. Sounds like you have a leaky system. If they sit overnight and loose pressure, the first thing they do is pump air to level out the car. You'll need to get it up on a hoist and check the lines. No big deal. They are just plastic lines and sometimes break or split and have a loose connection.
