The BCM (body control module) is what controls the anti theft system, it could be the passlock sensor in the ignition cylinder or the ignition switch on the end of the ignition cylinder, after that you would need to do a relearn on the passlock system.first of all,you need to have it scanned and get the codes out of the BCM and that should point you in the right direction

No the power control module runs the whole car and the pass lock you maybe can do without it controls the security systems but the pcm is the brain of the car

2001 saturn lost keys to it. Got it to crank cut right back off secrity lights on bought a brain box for it and got 2keys with it. Still want crank I need to know what to do t could the box be bad ..

No ,the box is probably not bad , but you need to have it programmed . The dealer is the only one that can do that ? The keys don't matter .
The passlock sensor mounted to the ignition switch assembly is located inside the upper right side of the steering column. The passlock sensor contains two hall effect sensors: a tamper hall effect sensor and a security hall effect sensor. The tamper hall effect sensor is mounted on top of the security hall effect sensor. Should someone attempt to defeat the system by use of magnetic experimentation, the tamper hall effect sensor will activate first.
The passlock system is a vehicle theft deterrent system which deters drive-away vehicle theft by disabling engine operation if the ignition lock cylinder is not rotated with the proper mechanically cut key.
The passlock system is made up of an ignition switch assembly, passlock sensor, body control module (BCM), instrument panel cluster (IPC), and a powertrain control module (PCM).
The ignition switch contains a magnet mounted on the lock cylinder and a passlock sensor assembly which consists of security hall effect sensor, tamper hall effect sensor, and output resistors. A drill proof metal shield is also staked over the sensor housing.
The passlock sensor mounted to the ignition switch assembly is located inside the upper right side of the steering column. The BCM has the passlock controller integrated into it which controls the majority of the security systems logic. The BCM reads the data from the passlock sensor continuously. If the data is correct and has been received by the BCM within a specified time, the BCM will send a coded password to the PCM. The PCM will then allow the fuel injectors to operate.
The coded password for the security system is sent from the body control module to the PCM via the class 2 data link. If the password is correct and received within the specified time, the PCM will allow the fuel injectors to operate.
Sorry but you can't just replace parts , you need to know how the system works . You need to take this to a ASE certified repair facility that knows how it works .

Cannot get the key in ingition, do not know how to turn off the passlock

Passlock is tricky. There is no way to just turn it off. It is an antitheft system, if you could turn it off, so could a potential theif. I do know of a way to bypass it tho. Check out this link. Alot of info, and some DO IT YOURSELF solutions

Our 1998 chevrolet prizm started not starting after running for a while, and stopping for an erraND. we have to sit 20 minutres in the car before it will restart.

It's that infamous "chip" in the key that becomes a nightmare to many. The security light may or may not start flashing. Sometimes it stays on steady. Gradually the car begins not cranking anymore or if it cranks it will start and die in a second. Randomly it will do this more and more often until it won't start anymore. VATS, PASSkey and Passlock immobilizer systems are killing cars all over North America, they have a short lifespan and are certainly more effective against owners than thieves. Here is how you save your car
QUICK FIX TRICKS
1st trick, Try a spare key that is newer or used less. The pins wear down with use and so do the keys causing the security to fail.
2nd trick, (if not starting) turn the key forward 2 clicks till right before it would normally start, leave like that for 10 minutes. ( no less ) After 10 minutes, turn key back then forward and your car might start. I did this in my regal for more than a year. If its shutting down while running, I'm sorry I have no quick fix...
CHEAP FIX: Bypass the chip in your key. This is temporary, but effective until the TDM (theft deterrent module) in the dash poops out. Then you're kinda screwed. I was told that these types of key security systems have a 6-7 year life span. Sucks for us. This link explains the "Key Issue" pretty well.
----- http://vats.likeabigdog.com/

If you're gonna tear your car apart anyway, just do this next fix and bypass it all together. Its more money, less work, and a PERMANENT fix. Up to you tho.

NEVER WORRY AGAIN FIX: Bypass the whole VATS/Passlock/passkey I or passkey II system entirely. Literally take it out, and throw it away. I just did this in my Regal. Took about an hour. It took longer to find the "theft deterrant module" so i could remove it, than it did to actually wire in the "Bypass module" from Newrockies. They sell a unit for 200 bucks to totally bypass this system FOREVER. life time-money back guarantee and all that. Finally did this in my car. Well worth the 200 if you've looked into getting this replaced... It can cost anywhere from 600-1000 bucks. If you do buy this, please purchase it thru this link.

fuel pump is probably about to buy the farm-you have classic symptoms, when it happens you should have a borrowed fuel pressure gauge (free loaner from advance auto, auto zone, etc) so you can verify it before you undertake it-there is an inspection cover under the rear seat, so you will not have to drop the tank to replace it, not as bad to do as some other cars.

Saturn L200 Passlock Problem

I have a very untechnical solution to this problem and I can't for the life of me remember where I heard it but it sure does work. Turn the igniton to ON so that the dash lights up. Eventually the others lights go out and the flashing "Securty" light stays. Keep the driver side door slightly ajar and sit and wait for that Security light to stop blink, usually 5-10 minutes. Once it stops blinking you can start your car. I can't promise that you won't have the starting problem again, but it will happen with decreasing frequency. Ultimately you need to have the passlock issue handled at a dealership. I say DEALERSHIP because it's a manufacturer flaw and they should be made aware of this issue everytime. They're also best equipped to handle it.
