How do i remove a starter motor from suzuki sierra 1989

i assume you mean the starter solenoid its on the starter on the passenger side under exaust manifold

you lost both? ouch !
measure the old ones with calipers. (dia. and length)
use pitch gage to get pitch.
or buy new ones from suzuki,
they sell parts online, need a link?

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect electrical connections from starter motor
Remove two bolts securing the starter motor to the engine.
Remove starter motor
Reverse procedure to install

disconnect the battery lead from the starter plus other wires,undo the bolts on the starter flange & the starter should pull straight out providing there is nothing else in the way if there is anything it will have to be removed first.......hope this helps......cheers

If you raise your hood and look at your wiper motor on the fire wall there is ablack plastic cover over the motor remove that and you will see a chip board that is replacable its usually around $20 or so, which is cheap way to find out if your wiper switch or multifunction switch is bad, since they arwe far more expensive! if the board does not solve your problem then suspect multifunction switch!

make sure your ac pulley is not locked up,take the belt off and try to start it,can also take the plugs out to try to start it..dont think this is a locked up motor,

check to make sure ur starter motor is earthed correctly, u can always remove the starter motor and test it using a portable battery charger, just be careful of the pinion

Did you check your ground wire?If ground is good check to make sure your solenoid wire which is purple usually if it is broke if not get a test light and have someone turn motor over to crank position and check if power there if so more than likely ground problem.If solenoid has no power move to fuses under drivers dash..

your new starter should have a S and a R terminal and also a large terminal thats for your main power . funny thing is im having starter problems with same truck man.
