Question about Mercury Sable
There are a few things you can try. Sometimes the Police Department will help with a lockout. They have a tool called a Slim-jim which can open doors without a key.
Next would be to use your Auto Club or Car Insurance benefits for a Locksmith. Locksmiths have keysets which is a duplicate of all keys. Or you can try a Towtruck and ask if they would have a Slim-jim if the Police won't help.
Look at your Car Insurance forms and get the Vin# off them. Or get the Vin# off the small ID plate at the base of the Drivers Windshield. Call the Dealer and see if they will make a Doorkey for you. You do not need a Computer chip in the key. The Computer key is very expensive. Just a plain key to work in the Doorlock.
These are the cheapest ways to get into your car.
