2001 chevy blazer won't start

My vechile won't start only turn ovr UNLESS I dump starter fluid or gas in the air thing, than it will only run till it is goes, basically a matter of seconds. I have replaced the temp sensor, the fuel regulator and have check the pressure which reads between 60-65. I hear the pump, so my problem is I don't know if the injectors are bad or the fuel pump. The pump seems to be doing what is suppose to, can you help me figure this out?
Thank you,
Ellielynn

Have you tried cleaning your fuel injectors? There is a cleaner that you put into the vaccum line that comes from the brake booster to the intake (so it feeds all the injectors all at once) it is called SeaFoam it runs about $8.50 a can. The directions are on the can.

I'm following another issue like this on a 1996 Jimmy.
This engine requires 60psi or more fuel pressure to run.
You need to have someone check the fuel pressure at the rail- throttle body with a gauge.

95 blazer fuel prob's.

It drops when it is turned off through the return the pump might be getting weak If you keep using the starting fluid you will blow the intake off of it or it will get hooked on it and won't start without it.

Why doesn't my 2001 Chevy Blazer 4.3l start without starter fluid and tends to bog down if I hit the gas?

Do you the 4.3 l vortec with Central SFI fuel injection system ? On these the fuel pressure regulator is under the top part of the intake manifold , They like to leak ! Leaking Fuel Pressure Regulator

Doesn't start only turns over

Sometimes a defective Fuel Pump will run and operate as normal and give you the correct pressures before start up, but can't work fast enough to keep up with the demands of a starting, or running engine. Engine's take a high demand on fuel for startup, its a short period, but a high demand nevertheless.

My opinion is that your Fuel Pump is faulty, Not completely broken, just unable to keep up with fuel demands. Try replacing your Fuel Pump, and while you're at it, be sure to check the lines in the Gas Tank itself for frays, holes, or rips. As that can actually cause the problem too, but is VERY easy to over-look it, as fuel can squirt out of a pinhole at 60psi
