My toyota corolla2005 rear right side wheel scrubing th tire when breaks

I would first check the break parts on that tire. remove the tire...making sure you take the precaution to chock the other tires and use an appropriate jack and proceed to removing the tire. Once the tire is down look at the the components for wear. Some break pads come equipped with a metal blade that once the pad wears out this metal plate comes in contact with the rotar or drum and makes a high pitch metal grind sound. This would be the indicator to change your pads and may possibly need to resurface your rotars or drums to spec. Let me know if that's what it was. GE.

You're lacking some info about this issue. Who replaced the brake pads? It sounds like they may have been incorrectly installed. Another thing... You say "brake pads" but say nothing about the brake shoes. This leads me to believe that the front pads were changed and the rear brake shoes were not. If you do not know how to change them yourself, go to a reputable place to get them checked. Be specific about your problem and have them check the front rotors and brake pads and the rear brake shoes and the drums. It is quite possible that the rear drums need to be replaced or turned. Drums and rotors are fairly inexpensive so I would consider replacing them BOTH. With a little more info, I'm sure someone here could help more Good luck!

Need to replace brakes on 2000 GMC Safari. does it have disc brakes all around or drum rakse in rear?

Disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear. Make sure that you repack the front bearing's with wheel grease before finishing the job.If the front rotors and or the rear drums have a rough brake pad surface, get them resurfaced before installing new brake pads or brake shoes in the rear. you can go online or your public library for complete instructions on how to replace the brakes on that vehicle.

Ranjit,

I have the same problem with my 2008 Hummer H3. I had the front and rear rotors resurfaced. I am now thinking of getting the rotors replaced with bigger more durable rotors. Solution about the sticking brake caliper sounds about right if you hear a grinding noise as you drive without even touching the brake pedal.

Grind steel on steel noise rear passanger side when coming to a stop do you know what the problem is?

hi this sounds like your rear brakes are warn and the metal grinding noise you can hear might be the metal part of the pads rubbing on the disks, either that or your break shoes are doing the same if they are the drum type rear brakes, hope that helps

Where do you put the brake fluid on this car? Because, my car is making a grinding sound when I put my foot on the brake.

The grinding noise probably means you need to put new brakes on. If you fill the brake fluid reservoir, and then change the brakes, the new fluid will run out anyways, because the new brakes will have to be put in, and the fluid will run out.

'04 Corolla Grinding noise when breaking

Even though there may be some brake pad remaining, sometimes you need to machine or replace the rotors in order to get rid of a noise. Rotors can develop a bad wear pattern that acts against a glazed pad to produce a loud noise even if they are not worn out. Replace the front brakes, pads and rotors.
