Since there are so many new types of Tranmission fluids now, what is the best for me to use on my 95 Nissan truck? It is a 6 cylinder, automatic, 2wd.

That's easy. There is only one recommended for yours. Look in your owners manual or stop by a dealer, and make sure to walk into the service bay from outside the building, and only talk to a tech that actually knows the correct answer.
Also you could stop by a trans repair shop and get the correct answer.
Stay with the dealer fluid or a castrol, etc exact spec fluid. Nissan is one of the odd fluids, you won't find on most bottles. Not the correct one anyway. Nissan Matic D, I believe. Check the Nissan Tech Service Bulletins on line.

I have a 95 nissan pathfinder and the brakes do not work at all. To the floor and no slowing down. Im not leaking fluid and I've attempted bleeding but it seems there is no movement of fluid anywhere

If the brake lines arent leaking, the wheel cylinders arent leaking, its possible its the master cylinder or the ABS assembly is bypassing internally...best to have a mechanic look at it as they have special pliers that can pinch off, and not damage, the rubber flex hoses to the calipers and rear end

Use NISSAN Type Matic J ATF, factory fluid is the best way to go, other types may cause damage to your tranmission or poor shift performance

  2. Turn OFF engine.
  3. Remove the drain plug.
  4. Drain the transmission fluid into a suitable container.
  5. Install drain plug.

Fluid Type Specifications 4 Speed Automatic Transmission - Nissan Matic "D"
