SOURCE: how to install mitsubishi lancer fuel door clip

In the center of the hinge area there is a small raised area with a circle hole drilled in it.
The spring slides onto this are, black coated portion facing away from the door; The metal uncoated portion of the clip has a raised circular nub that clicks into the hole on the hinge.
Here is a picture, not a very good one, but it shows you the area I speak of.
Once you see the hole and the nub ont he spring, you'll see there is only one way it will go on.

IF YOU SUSPECT THE RELAY TO BE BAD THEN TEST IT BY SWAPPING THE FAN RELAY WITH ANOTHER ONE WITH THE SAME PINS ON THE BOTTOM. MAKE SURE IT IS THE SAME SIZE AS WELL. HOPE THIS HELPS.. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

The fuel door on my 2008 mitsubishi outlander wont open & i need gas what do i do?

There should be a manual pull probably inside the trunk at or near the area of the fuel door.
If you have a manual, the location would be shown in it.

The outlander has no fuel filter and its a part of the fuel pump. When do I need to replace the fuel pump on my 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Fuel pumps are not a regular maintenance item that needs to be changed at a certain time. Replace it only when it fails. The designers built that fuel filter into the tank with the reasoning that it will last as long as the fuel pump itself.

For 2005 mitsubishi outlander which octane (87, 89 or 91) should be used?

lower octanes will not hurt your 2005 outlander truck at all... the engine computer adjusts to the lower octane... you may notice a slightly higher fuel consumption with the lower octane fuel but the money you save on lower octane fuel offsets the mileage.

Replace center dome light bulb 2007 Mitsubishi

Hi, the lens of the dome light should clip off. If you look at the lens you should be able to see the reinforcing of the plastic where the clips are molded on to keep it in place. Once you have removed the lens the globe should come out easily. Just make sure that the corners of the new globe goes into the holes of the electrical connection points. They do not have to push through, but the globe should be secure between the connection points.

Gas lid will not release 2005 outlander

There is a small spring clip that snaps onto the inside of the door that has broken and/or fallen off.

The new clip is part number MU481269 and costs about $3 from your dealer.

To get the door open to replace it, have someone push on the forward edge of the door while you pull the release lever.
