Question about Chevrolet Corvette

2 Answers

I recently had my shocks replaced in my '86 corvette, in hopes that the car would run smoother, but when I go approx. 80 mph or higher the car shakes! Its very jittery, and I really don't know what the problem is. Could it be my tires? Or what are some possibilities?

Good Evening, there are a lot of things that can cause a vibration in your car. The driveshaft could be out of balance, the tires or the wheels themselves could be bad (see about getting them road force balanced which can tell if it is the wheel or the tire if either is bad). Check your suspension, ball joints tie rods and bushings. Also if it is only when you step on the brakes check your rotors. There are a couple of things to check. Hope this helps with some ideas.
Thanks.

What type of oil do i use in my audi a6 2.8 quartto

5w30 is recommended up to 100 degrees. over that and it is recommending a 20w50. I would use a good synthetic 5w30 which is good for much higher temperatures and will easily perform well in the +100 degree range as well as the -0 temp range. Mobil 1 or Amsoil fit the bill nicely.

My 97 Chrysler Concorde runs good but shocks/ struts need replaced to make smoother ride - i was hoping someone would have cost estimate or tell me how to repair. I am new to this town and don't know any...

If you have struts on the front, only certified auto mechanics can fix, go to reliable name such as walmart, midus, brake stop etc. they will treat you right, check online for prices of struts, shocks, check ebay for prices, labor is about the same price as parts, I would say between 5-800 for all four.

The RPM of Nissan Altima stays high when drive over 65 MPH.

No....the rpms differ from engine to engine and from manufacturer to manufacturer. RPM's are always higher at higher speeds.
