You have to get a flashlight and look way down between the passenger side firewall and the engine. You'll see the reservoir fill cap and that is all. You can reach down to remove it, but you'll need a long transmission funnel to fill it. Just add very small amounts as you check it because it over-fills very easily with the long funnel.

2006 volvo s40 2.4I. Where is the ECT(engine

Instructions
    • 1 Open the engine hood by pulling the hood release latch located on the lower kick panel on the driver's side of the Volvo S40. Lift the hood up and prop it on the hood prop.
    • 2 Locate the steering shaft that extends from the firewall to lower suspension located inside the engine compartment, by the front right wheel. Halfway down the shaft, you will locate the power steering pump. The pump is a black container that bolts to the driver's side of the engine block. On the top, you will find a cap that says "Power Steering Fluid."
    • 3 Look to the left of the cap. Bolted to the power steering pump is the thermostat temperature sensor. The sensor has a black round cap and a black wire extending out of the top.

Town and country from pipe on passenger side firewall

Hi Mr.Downs.
Are you sure is only leaking when the vehicle gets warm? On checking the coolant level when the engine is cold and before starting is in a correct level?
Is it possible to be any drain pipe either if you do have air conditioning and running the air con then water comes out from that pipe and might you do have any dirt by the vaporator and gets the orange color.
Also do check for your power steering fluid,if there is any leakage
from the steering rack if it is close to that pipe and confusing you ?

On top of the power steering pump. Right near the firewall, on the passenger side

2003 pontiac grand prix how do I find the power steering fluid, add to it, or check it...I see a container with a (0) on it ...is this where the steering fluid is! pics would help! also I have been told...

the power steering reservoir is located at the front of the motor, when you are standing at the passenger side looking toward the drivers side,by the firewall side of the motor there should be a cap that when you pull it out it will have a dipstick that tells you what the level is in the reservoir,it will usually say power steering fluid on it.you check it with the engine off and there is a low level line and a high level line(full)with the motor cold it should be about half way between the low and high mark, when warm or hot it should be closer to the high mark.only use fluid for power steering

My 1999 Buick Lesabre makes a whining and sometimes thumping noise when I make turns at low speeds. What could it be? It became worse after a slow turn from a driveway. At that time it made a very loud...

Sounds like a combination of a power steering pump (whine) AND the CV axle (loud clunk noise). Check the fluid level in the power steering pump. The pump is located on the passenger's side towards the firewall. Kind of hard to get at but unscrew the cover and there is a small/short dipstick there. See what it reads. Add Power Steering fluid (NOT transmission fluid, as needed. Don't overfill)
I'd get the "thumping noise" taken care of IMMEDIATELY. Could be a serious problem. Qualified front end shop should be able to diagnose and give you an estimate of cost. Last time I had one done it was about $300 parts and labor...
