Assuming you have enough oil (there is a separate low oil sensor) and you have replaced the filter (can go bad) a lot of times the oil pressure sensor is the problem, especially if it is intermittent and your engine is still sounding smooth.
The sensor located right above the oil filter - you need to access from under the vehicle after removing the starter motor (disconnect battery first). You will need a 27mm (1-1/16") deep socket to be able to unscrew the old and screw in the new sensor - do not tighten very much - 15 ft lbs I think.
The sensor is CA$38 at the dealership.

I have a 1985 bronco II 2.8l 5 speed manual, I replaced my starter 2 times and rebuilt my original starter so a total of three difernt starter's still nothing.. starter just spins.. I checked my flywheel...

Since no one has answered yet, I will comment. When any of these starters turned, their bendix switch should have extended to catch the flywheel. On some, a pin is used to position the bendix on the starter shaft.

Can not say why original bendix does not work except that it must be pinned to the shaft. For replacement starters, there can be differences in the gear size of the bendix. Even some gears have different amounts of teeth on the bendix gear. Have not heard of needing shims to mount the starter to the Ford engine, but old GM products were shimmed. For that matter, some windings inside starters could be reversed, especially in Marine dual engine applications.

You went to a lot of work to change the flywheel, check the length of the starter to see if it is mounting deep enough to catch the flywheel. Maybe the bell housing is interfering with installation.

make sure you have the torque converter deep enough in trans and can you turn engine over with strong arm and socket on crank bolt

Cant turn starter far enough to take wires off

ull have 2 use a small ratchet extenson and a swivel and a deep socket make sure batt is unhooked not easy without a lift good luck

Hi i have a 1984 colt 1.6 auto had starter notor rebuilt but can not get it to start all i get when i turn the key on is a clicking noise and after a few turns of the key i get nothing can you give me any...

If your battery is good, then check all of your connections. If they are all sound, then you may have a bad rebuilt starter. It happens. Go back to the parts store, rebuilder, or installer.

I need to change the starter

The starter on 3.5L engines is on the backside of the engine block slightly towards the drivers side.

I just changed the starter in my 2000, 3.5L, V6, Oldsmobile Intrigue. I am going from memory here but the sizes should get you fairly close. The starter is held on with 2 bolts. I used a 13mm (or maybe 11mm or 12mm) socket with a 12" extender to remove the bolts. There are 2 wires attached to the starter. I used an 8mm socket (but a deep socket, the kind of socket that is ~3" long) to remove the small wire. I used ~11mm socket (deep socket) to remove the large wire. Everything was metric. It was not an overly difficult repair. Wiggling the starter in and out of position was probably the hardest part. Remember to disconnect your battery before starting.

Does the starting solenoid engages? This is would sound like a deep clunk on your starter. When the solenoid engages it close the contact that energize the starter motor, but a worn contact on the solenoid would result in it engaging but not having enough current to turn the engine resulting in a clunking noise when you try to start.
The starter solenoid gets its 12 volt from a relay. This is referred to as the starter relay. If you try to crank, and you hear only a click but the starter do not turn, then the contacts on the relay maybe worn.
To sum it up, if you hear a loud clunk when it dont crank, its the starter solenoid. If you hear just a click but no crank, it could be the starter relay.

Went through not too deep water car stalled , replaced air filter and checked batterie car clicks and lights dim when you try to start.

Well if its clicking that means your starter isnt working. You can try replacing the starter. Its also possible that your starter isnt' getting enough juice, or your ground is bad. Go from there. Also if it went through enough water for it to go in air filter, it would be wise to change the oil as well to make sure no water is in your oil.
