Question about Lincoln Town Car
There is a Diagnostic plug for the Air Suspension. It is usually under the hood on the Passenger side. A Front-end Alignment shop or a Dealer should have a scanner for this.
Now Autozone and Oreillys give free scans, but may not have the correct scanner for the Air-ride. You would have to call. Both places loan out tools, so if you were working on the Air-ride you would need this scanner.
There are some simple contact switches which operate the flow valves for the Air-ride. Since your problem is at startup, that is when everything is resetting and the compressor is pumping up.
With the scanner it would not take much time to fix this.
