Did you ever get an answer or a solution to your problem for the 323 brake drums? I am having a similar problem with a 1990 323 and would be VERY interested in your solution/outcome.

Brake switch, check and see if you have brake lights. If you have lights it is the wiring or solenoid at the shifter.

I have a 2004 mazda econovan I need to fit the brake shoes on the rear driver side could you give me a drawing of same thanks Joe

Hi, the fitting of brakes is a fairly involved job that needs to be performed in a way so that safety issues are covered. The shoes will need to be fitted ...cntred...adjusted.... cylinders will need to be checked, cylinder seals too, .It is not a fit it and it is done type of job. I really would get a pro to do it.
Also, you would not fit a single wheel, it would be an axle ....i.e. two wheels.
Also ...does your vrhicle have drum brakes at the rear?

When fitting new rear brake pads to a 2004 Mazda 323, how do I move the pistons back into the cylinders to accomodate the new pads?

Applying pressure will make the piston go back in but you can kick and release the brake before the job is done , use a wire band to run over the piston to hold it tight so that it does not move off, the pads can be pushed into with the wire holding the piston till in place when it can be taken off.

Where is the reservoir for the clutch on a 1993 Mazda 323? it's not next to the brake reservoir

Just guessing, check the rear fire wall. It should be on the rear fire wall somewhere or possibly low on one of the fender wells. It is possible that your clutch and your brakes are using the same reservoir, I don't know on this particular vehicle for certain.

Sounds like you have a leak in the brake system. The fluid you are seeing is brake fluid.

You need to get this fixed asap.
