You are not supposed to remove the light, it is there for a reason. Take it to a shop or dealer.

04dodge ram air bag light goes off after starting then comes back

remove the battery cables and hold the positive and negative cables (WHILE NOT CONNECTED TO BATTERY!!!) together for about 2 minutes. This procedure will reset your vehicles KAM (keep alive memory) and will get rid of check engine/air bag lights as long as everything is connected properly

Air bag light

They air bag module has lost communication or in other words, cant control a SIR component.
Take your vehicle to your local Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts and ask them to scan for codes, write the code down and respond back to me and we can go from there.
Let me know.

yes it's detecting a faulty air bag, have it scanned and check what's triggering it.
it could be the air bag or a short circuit in the air bag path
