If its not battery, still check the voltage of new battery. In many cases it has seen that battery charge is low, because if the new battery is just kept in stock then it will get drained automatically without any use.So check the voltage of new battery first with meter. It should show exact 12 volt. But if its less or no 12 volt then get the new battery charged.

There are some possibilities which you will have to check in this case:--

1) First of all check the power and voltage to the battery. With meter it will show exact 12 volt if the battery is charged. If the voltage is less get the battery charged at local auto repair shop. If the battery is internally drained and not getting charged then its time to replace the battery.

2) When you crank the car do you see spark coming at the spark plug? If no then its time to check the spark plugs and coil pack. If the spark plugs are not worn out and looks new then its time to check coil pack. The spark plug gets power to spark from coil pack.

3) The other thing to check in this case is the starter solenoid of the car. If the battery is charged and you start the car then it gives power to the starter to start the car. But if starter is faulty or not connected properly then car will not start.

4) The other thing to check in this case is fuel in the car. If there is fuel in the car then check the blockages in the fuel pump if the fuel pump looks proper then check the fuel filter above the fuel pump.

5) If all the above possibilities mentioned above checked out OK/perfect then it's a electrical issue and the wiring's in the car needs to be checked. The car gets power from the battery to get started. so the wires from battery needs to be checked one by one.

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

SOURCE: 1996 Toyota Camry. Bought new

I will assume you have a factory Anti-Theft system. Here is the rest procedure unlock the system which was triggered by the battery change and resultant loss of power. Do the reset exactly as written.

Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking position. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

(Your valet switch might be the toggle
(on/off) type. in this case, key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.

My car won't start, could you please tell me what is the problem, it is turning over and trying to start.

Check out the timing, may require new parts, personally I would let the garage electrician do the necessary, less hassle!

Lock then unlock the doors with the power lock button, with all doors closed (key not in ignition). If this doesnt work, try again using the key to lock and unlock from the driver door, with all doors closed.

I've tried boosting my car, but my car wont start. It has been sitting in the garage for about a year. A new alternator and battery were put in about a year ago. Why isn't my car starting now?

if the battery is completely dead, it may need to be charged properly rather than boosted. if you have access to a battery charger, try that.

My 96 camry doesnt turn on at all. when i turn the ignition key nothing happens. the radio doesnt turn on and the lights also. it cant be my battery cause i just recently changed it. please help.

Check the battery again, it can either be loose or corroded terminals, a dud battery, or something is draining the battery. The battery voltage should be between 11.5 and 14.4 volts. Then check your connections on the engine and in the fusebox
