Question about 2000 Volvo S80
I'm in Juneau, Alaska no volvo dealers, no one with access to computer for help. My 2000 Volvo S80 has a lot of lights on in the dash including Check Engine, SBS, Brake Failure, Emission System Check, No oil pressure stop ASAP. We've had the oil checked, the brakes checked and no one can seem to find anything wrong with these things. We had new tires put on it and someone said the tires might have been to big and triggered the lights...just need to know what might be going on here. Also, it now is vibrating when you slow down and the engine sounds rough in an idle. Has endured 3 harsh Alaska winters. If anybody can offer help it would be greatly appreciated.
Change your alternator out this is the first indicator of worn alternator or a bad replaced alternator
all warning lights means that alternator is not putting out power and vehicle will run ruff with low power since everything is controled by the power of the alternator
since your in alaska i recomend a new alternator not a replacement refurbished these dont tend to weery the weather very well up there and make sure when you order your alternator that you want to make sure its not a refurbish and that it can take the elements you might need a 16 volt alternator
