No engine start, engine has fuel pressure, spark and crank but injectors do not open and inject fuel.


Check the injectors, do they have 12 volts to one side of the plug with the ignition on, if not check the ECM fuse under the hood. If the fuse is blown then you may have shorted engine wiring harness or other issue with the wiring.

I replaced my fuel pump when my 1999 yukon wouldn't start one day. Now still won't start and I replaced the fuel filter. There is pressure but no gas getting to the engine. Don't know w


Guessing when you say pressure that you have fuel pressure and that the fuel pump is working but the injectors aren't pulsing and injecting fuel into the cylinders. The way your fuel system works is that you should have constant power at each injector and the vehicles computer (the ECM) gets readings from different sensors and send a quick ground pulse in order to complete the circuit. each time the ECM sends a ground pulse, that's when the injector injects fuel so the ground signal/pulse is quick (on and off, one and off..you get the idea). The first thing I would do if your fuel pump is pumping and you have fuel pressure is check the fuse. The fuse you want to check should be a 20 amp fuse in the fuse panel under the hood of the vehicle in the engine compartment. Below is a diagram of the fuse layout and I have marked the fuse you need to check (the ECM 1 fuse). If that fuse is blown you will not have that constant power at the injectors. If blown replace and that should solve the problem unless it blows again which would mean you have a short. If it isn't blown make sure you have power at all time when the key is on. The pink wire at each injector should be the power wire. If no power you need to locate the open wire for that circuit (coming from that fuse to each injector). This is where I would start. The indicator lights are on but seems like no fuel injections and no sparks at hte spark plugs


Ifv its a stick shift,could be a bad cluth pedal switch.Or neutral safety switch,or blown crank fuse or even blown ignition fuse.

delivers fuel to engine. No fuel pressure will cause no start. Usually bad fuel pump relay or bad fuel pump. Could be as simple as a blown fuse.

I need to know, on the fuse panel, I have two fuses that are not getting power, car will not start. The cover says that those two fuses are Relay (10) and Inject (15) but not sure what these fuses go to....


Hi, the inject fuse runs the pump and injectors, and the relay fuse runs the main relay. Check the ECU A and B fuses in the engine compartment, as they may have blown thus preventing the relay from powering up.

Car do not start because the gas is not inhale in the engine. the car start when I pump the gas pedal few times,but if I take the foot off the pedal, the engine go off. NEED HELP


On the fuel injection rail on the intake manifold, there is a valeve that looks like a tire stem. hook up a fuel pressure gage to it and have someone crank the engine. If no fuel pressure probably a fuel pump. Also check all your fuel pump fuses and relays to make sure they are not blown.

Was running ok then left and pulled into driveway,shut off next morning would not start tries to start acts like its out of gas,replaced a blown fuse but dont know what the fuse was to dont know how to set...


You need to start with the basic's, you need spark, fuel and compression for a engine to run and timing. So tell us a little about your vehicle, most newer vehicles dont have a distributor so timing problems are limited, fuel is easy to check if it is port fuel injected, if replaceing the blown fuse didnt help it is most likely not related.

I have an engine management light come on - tested - came up with a code PO410 - what is the next step?


P0410 is the error code for Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction
The secondary air injection pump pumps air into the exhaust to help heat the catalytic converter at cold start. This lowers the emissions at an otherwise high emission time.
A malfunction means that computer has registered either a pump failure (common on some models), fuse blown, or improper catalytic converter function.
Check your fuses. Whether you find a bad fuse or not have the codes reset. Some auto Zones can read and reset the codes. If the error comes back you may want to consider having the exhaust system checked.Problems with the catalytic converter\converters can have a large impact on your MPG.

Car will not start after winter storage and battery change


open the gas cap and leave it off for a few minutes then put in a can of STP gas treatment with fuel injecter cleaner and add about a half tank of gas and check all the fuses it may be a blown fuse to the fuel pump relay as well
