Question about 2000 Ford Explorer

1 Answer

I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport that makes a creaking noise when turning left. It is getting increasingly louder by the day. It also creaks pretty loudly when just driving along and hitting any bumps in the road, mostly at slower speeds. Any guesses as to what may be the problem?

There's a chance that the ball joints need grease. This should help, however once they have started to make noise like that due to lack of grease, they usually have gone bad. Replacement may be the only remedy. Hope this helps.
