This is caused by a defective planetary gear cluster bearing, to replace this part requires the tranmission be removed and overhauled.

Hi I have a 2005 Ford Ranger Diesel that will splutter and run rough when you try and pass another vechile. It only happens when going up a hill or you try and pass

Does the transmission downshift at the right time? Look for a cracked vacuum line from the pump down to the transmission. If you get a lot of smoke when trying to pass, the injectors could be dirty. Try an injector cleaner in the fuel tank first. If it doesn't clear up then an injector service is likely.

2004 impala jerks into first gear sometimes. steering wheel whines. I had transmission flushed. Is the tranny going out. I read many reviews that says it is Thanks

The 2 aren't connected to each other. Tranny flushes are NEVER good. Have it checked for codes. Code 1811 (EPC) VERY common in those trannys cause hard shifts.

My 2003 dodge caravan whines and when it seems

Hate to tell you this , but sounds like the pump is going in the transmission. First check the fluid level to make sure the fluid is up to full. The fuild and filter need to be replace at 60,000 miles. Clogged transmission filter can restrict the fluid flow into the transmission fluid pump.

Engine boggs down when trying to go to pass geas

Still sounds like a transmission problem. Especially if it is revving up that high on RPM's and going no where. Sounds like slipping or something in transmission. Could be torque converter.
