p 0402 is EGR valve and solenoid problems
that sort of back pressure indicates cat converter is blocking the exhaust system
the rest are o2 and Ho2 sensor problems probably from the faulty cat
one side would be oxygen sensor trying to adjust mixture but unable from cat
fix the cat converter/s and then get a fault code reading
next post include make , model and year and engine type

My Ford F-350 5.4 loss of power during acceleration hard get up hill new plugs coil packs & also cleaned fuel lines & injectors Engine code reads Eva purge Valve solenoid open

Evaporative purge solenoid wouldn't cause lack of power , You have plugged catalytic converter . Have exhaust system back pressure tested .

Have a 2003 2.5l v6 landrover freelander has recently had a major decrease in power when accelerating and shake at certain speeds exaust has gotten louder has the ecatalytic gone bad

Is the check engine light on / flashing? You may have a cylinder misfire. This will cause lack of power and the engine to shake. If light is on, have the codes scanned to point you in the right direction. If light not on, you may have a problem with the exhaust system getting plugged and not breathing correctly causing high back pressure. Most trained technicians can test drive the vehicle and tell if there is a restriction in the exhaust as well by performing a back pressure test to verify.

2002 mercury sable Has very little power won't turn up over 3200 rpm?

Possible plugged exhaust/converter causing a no power issue if vehicle seems to run fine otherwise. Have a back pressure test performed to test for high back pressure which in turn will cause a severe lack of power on acceleration. Is the check engine light on/flashing? If so, have the vehicle scanned for any codes that may pertain to this problem and help locate it

Why does my saturn sound so bad when idles?

if the car is loud/noisy there is a hole in the exhaust system and this will cause a rough idle because of a loss of back pressure and the vales will not open and close properly resulting in the rough idle it also will make the engine run hotter and this will cause your spark plug gaps to increase and the spark will be less than needed to ignite the fuel in the cylinder for proper combustion which will result in poor gas mileage and lack of power is the check engine light on?

How can you tell if your catalictic converter is clogged

Usually it the car lacks power. It is sluggish and will misfire and idle rough. You can also remove the sensor before the cat and and see if car runs better since the exhaust gasses will no longer back up in to engine. Or you could simply measure exhaust back pressure with an exhaust back preassure gague screwed in to the hole for the O2 sensor.

I put a glasspack on my 2005 f150 and when it gets above 3500 rpms it sputters and kinda seems like it continuously backfires and i dont gain speed it done this many time but ust once the check engine...

It called lack of back pressure in your exhaust system. The newer engines today are made to have certain back pressure to operate properly. As a general rule, you can enlarge the pipe diameter of your OEM exhaust system by 1/4- to 1/2-inch to increase your horsepower. However, any additional increase in pipe diameter is likely to decrease your performance; specifically, low end torque. You can fix this problem if you can find a speed shop to dyno-tune your F150 with the lower back pressure exhaust system you have buy changing your fuel injector timing and pulse duration. Good luck and keep me posted, your engine may running to lean at the higher RPM's so be careful not to burn out one of more of your valves. Thank you for using Fixya.
