When do i change my timming belts on my 2008 ford ranger 4 cylender

timing belt changes across the board are 60.000miles or 100.00klms. If there are oil leaks inside the plastic cover or the area of operation is dusty reduce that distance by 15%

How to change oil pump on 2005 f150 4.6

The oil pump runs off the timming belt. You must remove the timing cover and timing belt to replace it. If you dont have the tool to set the cams for timing I wouldnt even attempt this job as a weekend warrior project

How to find out if the timming belt broken

what kind of car are you working on. some vehicles you can pop the top portion of the timming belt cover off with little effort. If it is old enough to have a distributor just pop the cap off have someone crank it over and if the rotor button don't spin it is your belt. If it is a newer car with coil packs you may have to pop the valve cover off and see if the valves are moving, but first take the oil fill cap off and look in there to see if you can see the valves if so no need to take cover off just have someone crank it over while looking in there for movement.
