Where do i find the turn signal flasher on 2000 ford f350 super duty lariat

I would turn the turn signal or the hazard flashers on to find the respective flasher that 'clicks' when you hear and feel it, if functioning correctly.

It probably is buried underneath the steering column area under the dash.

Can you tell me where to find the flashers? I had my emergency flashers on when I blew a tire in the desert. After I changed the tire, they were no longer flashing. I checked the fuse panel on the left...

Flashers on GM cars are found under the dash. You have to remove the screwed on plastic panels to reveal the electronics underneath.

It should look like a 1.2" cylindrical metal 'flasher.'

You can get the right one by looking it up in a book at the auto parts store and searching for the right model number.

I recommend getting the electronic version of the flasher so it will not wear out as quickly as the standard one from GM which is mechanical and not electronic solid state.

Good luck finding it because it can be in a very dark part of the under dash part, sometimes hidden out of plain view.

Sometimes there are two flashers, one for the turn signals, and one for the hazard flashers. They can be located in different areas.

Tip: When you actually search for the flasher, turn the turn signals on and feel the barrel of the flasher you first see to see if you can feel hit ticking. If you can, then you found the turn signal flasher.

The other hazard flasher must be located further into the area under the dashboard and above the plastic panel you removed.

Good luck on this fix.

Replaced the turn signal lever in my 1999 caravan and the left turn signal still doesnt work. The fuse for the flasher is still good and the right tun signal works any recommendations

Try the flasher module located on the junction box/fuse panel underneath the drivers side dash. It looks like a regular relay but is double the length.

Right and left turn signals will not work or work intermittently

Turn signal on lights stays on but doesnt blink

Its under the dash board on the left side (driver side). It's not in the same fuse box will be near it. If you get a replacement flasher relay you can see what the new one look like, just look underneath the dash match the relay and replace it fairly simple and make sure all the bulbs are good.

2000 Lumina All fuses good, no Brake or turn signal lights, even on the dash, flasher unit checks good but no power to it. Any ideas out there?

Will your Center High-Mount Stop Light (CHMSL) illuminate when you depress the brake pedal, but the lower/outer lights will not?
-- Do you have to hold the signal lever in a certain spot to get the turn signals to flash?
-- Do you have to hold the signal lever in a certain spot to get the lower/outer brake lights to illuminate?
-- Will the signals work in one direction, but not the other?
If you answered yes to any of the preceeding questions, your turn signal switch is likely malfunctioning.

**One more question before we continue: Is the turn signal lever not "cancelling" (returning to the "off" position) after you make a turn? If this is the case, you have a broken "cancelling spring."

Before you begin disassembly of your steering column, verify the turn signal flasher is not malfunctioning. If your brake lights work fine, but not the signals (either direction,) then it's likely the flasher is burnt out. The flasher itself is located underneath the dash near where the steering column passes through the firewall
