There is a drain tube that may be stopped up. You have to get under the car on the passenger side. Look up at the bottom of the case, you should see a tube sticking out. If the rubber is still on the plastic tube remove it, then using a pipe cleaner inset it wiggle it around see if you can feel any blockage

Air conditioner leaking in passanger floor boards how do i fix it

Could be the drain tube is partially clogged. It is usually located on the fire-wall or down towards the floor pan under the car. It is usually close to where the A/C lines go thru the fire-wall. About 1/2 inch diameter sticking straight out but may have a 90 degree elbow pointing down.
Also, its been extra hot and humid all over and moisture could be freezing inside the unit when on MAX A/C, then suddenly melting when switched to normal. This opens the outside air door and allows warm/hot air into the unit instead of recirculating the cold air inside the car. The drain may not be able to handle a large, sudden quantity of water.
Perform a "driveway" test. Open the hood, start engine and run the A/C on normal with the windows or doors open. Locate the drain tube by looking for water dripping. Once located twist 2 or 3 pipe cleaners together and verify the tube is clean. Then close the doors/windows and switch to MAX A/C. Check for water dripping. If it stops dripping, water is freezing inside and now you know why!

check the temp gauge in the car, is it overheating? If it isn't, check the engine where the belts are. If there is coolant coming from there, it is probably the waterpump. If it is further in front of the engine, probably the radiator.

My 2004 Dodge Stratus SXT has water under the front passenger seat and pools up in the rear passanger floor. I thought it was rain filling up in my rear passanger door because that has happened before, but...

You most likely have a plugged a/c evaporator drain tube. This tube drains away the water that condenses on the evaporator core [the one under the dash next to the heater core] whenever the a/c is running. If the tube is plugged then the water will fill up the bottom of the plastic heater/air conditioner housing until it overflows and leaks onto the floor. This drain is located on the engine side of the firewall, passenger side, down very low at the bottom curve of the firewall and is usually a very short rubber hose about 2" long. It can be hard to spot as there is often a lot of stuff in the way that makes it hard to see. A quick check is to park the car on a level spot and operate the a/c for sevreral minutes. You should soon see water dripping onto the ground from under the car on the passenger side of the vehicle. If you see it dripping then the hose is ok and you have a different issue, if not then you can pretty much bet that the hose is plugged. I usually use a puff of air to blow out whatever has plugged the hose [bugs, debris, etc] which fixes it until the next time it plugs.

Water is dripping from outer heater unit and soaking passanger side of front carpet.

There are two causes of fluid dripping from the heater core/ac evaporator housing. First, if it is running inside the vehicle and getting the carpet wet as described then it is most likely a bad heater core leaking antifreeze into the cab. Secondly, if it is dripping outside only when the a/c or defroster is running then it is the normal expulsion of condensation and is harmless.

Water in the passenger floor board of my 2005 chevy cobalt

check your heater coil under the dash on passanger side for leak at joint areas. it could be condensation from the AC condencer dripping down the line that goes into the firewall, if so seal that area with a good sylicone.

Problem with AC

The condensate from the A/C is dripping on the floor. It's supposed to drip into a pan, with an attached hose, and run outside on the ground. The hose is probably clogged. You can see the hose if you look under the vehicle in that general area. It may just have dirt in the end of it.

2005 Chrysler Pacifica-Air conditioning leak

The 05/04 Pacifica did not come with an elbow tube on the drain line for the AC drip pan. As you drive, the air flow into the tube pushes the condensate water back into the pan which is inside above the passenger floor board, the drain line is under the hood on the firewall. I spoke with the parts guy at the local Chrysler dealer, he sold me a drain tube for the 06 (~$10) and I installed it, wasn't too hard to do from the top if the engine is cold. The elbow slips on over the drain tube. Make sure to point the tube down. It only took one trip to start seeing water drip out of the tube and the floorboard started to dry up and almost three years later, the floorboard is still dry.

Where is the heater core located on the 2002 Volvo S60?

There may be a clogg in the drain for your air condition. Or the drain for the water coming off of the windshield (on the bottom where the wiper blades are, may be clogged with leaves or debris. To check take a hose or alot of water and pour on windshield then look to see if it drips inside on the driver floor. To check if its an Ac drain leak turn AC on and run for a while and check to see if the mat is wet or water is dripping on floor mat. Good Luck
